I'll stick this thing back on a pole outside with a fruit pie and see what happens.
Having worked for VZ, one of the few places in the city that had a pay phone was in front of our building. I was always amazed how many people worked that phone on a daily basis.
Just curious what you did for VZ
That pile of technology came from the mean streets of Port Chester.
My title was Switching Equipment Technician. A fancy name for sitting in front of a terminal and assisting outside technicians in fixing circuit troubles.
I never worked for VZ of any of the previous Baby Bells. I was always an 'interconnect' guy. PBXs and the like.

I guess it became too much of an attractive nuisance for the park service and they eliminated it. Awwww.
