Dialed 911 other other day.

Didn't mean to. Was cruising around in the old green f****r and had my two little bluetooth speakers in the back cranked up - enjoying myself. I usually tuck my iphone in the hem of my shorts. I guess of you squeeze the buttons on opposite sides it'll call 911 and immediately notify your emergency contacts. I had just fiddled with the music, tucked it back in and heard a funny little 'squonk' and that's when the next few minutes got interesting. 911 was cool. My wife and sister-in-law were on the 11th level of Freakout though. Oops.

So I got me one of those little key fob bluetooth remote control gadgets that will allow me to leave the phone on my belt and still fiddle with the music.

It also has a camera shutter control and with this I want to go about tossing a few mundane objects and see if I can get any decent UFO-like pictures. Something I wanted to do earlier but it was in the middle of winter.

pig farmer! the original sign still syands!

Man that brings back memories !! Great to see that the DUKWs are still hitting the beaches. Been on the river tour in them several times. Those things are ancient and the owner apparently has people with skills available to keep them going. Very cool.

I started going up there as a kid in the early '70s and finally stopped 20 years ago or so.
We'd drive out to Racine and stop at my brother's house, then form a convoy to get us to Holiday Shores Campground in Wisconsin Dells. About a 4 hour trip to get there and we'd usually stay a week or more. My nieces take their families up there and it's way more developed now. Some things I do remember:

Having a swig, at Nig's. Know I was there. Can't say it made an impression on me but I probably didn't actually take the swig. So far as I can remember anyway. No doubt I had a few beers.

There was an Elvis at the bowling alley. Last time I was there he had recently undergone hip surgery.
His performance unfortunately suffered for it.

A go-kart track across the river out on a farm. They had a half dozen or so of the little monsters you could climb into and go zooming around a track like idiots, banging into each other.

I got strapped into a contraption attached to two tall poles via a thick elastic band and got pwaaaaaaaanged straight up to some respectable distance. And then upanddownandupanddown for good measure. For a brief moment I felt like Alan Shepard. Come to think of it, this is something I would like to have a few Flat- Earthers try
