I will confess I finally broke down a couple days ago and sent a message to the person on Twitter I believe is Anders (his Facebook profile matches the demographics on the Paracast user account), asking if he was indeed working on a new Paracast site for Gene. He has not responded. I did not want to harass him or make him feel challenged, just hoping to hear if he really is the person who is or was working on revisions for Gene. I may never know. He may have heard enough about "online trolls" from Gene to just want to ignore that kind of message, even though I feel it was both polite and carefully neutral about things.

By "didn't care" Gene means that they aren't blocking everyone that criticises him like he does on the Parasite.

Their reporting procedure is pretty random. Plenty of stuff that breaks their rules stays up but a lot of legitimate discussion gets taken down and people get their accounts frozen.

I suspect they use a combination of bots and cheap third world labour (whose grasp of English is almost as bad as the bots) to respond to complaints and this results in a completely useless system - in most cases it does more harm than good.

If you look at that guy who got reported nothing in his tweet constituted hate speech or anything that contravened their rules - yet he got flagged anyway, probably because someone who can barely speak English misunderstood it.

Have seen it happen lots of times and because their customer service sucks, there is little or no recourse to these false reports against you. On the other hand there are multiple scammers going around on twitter offering free giveaways and the like and Twitter seems unable to do anything about them.

What this tells me is that Steinberg monitors everything that is being spoken about him. He is so paranoid about losing his begging revenue he will report anyone who criticizes his royal highness. He must be crapping himself with all these people constantly speaking negatively. Poor Geno!

Soon we will be hearing some new concocted storyline about why the forum upgrades didn't bring in the boost in income he projected.

Maybe he will blame it on the "online stalkers and haters" spreading falsehoods ("truth" in Genespeak) about him - maybe there will be hacks, or he will accuse AE of "poaching" his forum members.

The only certainty is that everyone else will be responsible for the failure and Gene himself will be blameless.

If you substitute “truth tellers” for “trolls” I think you will get a more accurate indication of what is really going on.

Hi,

Unfortunately, not much has changed.

I’ve not heard of any blowback from the bogus messages sent under my name by one of the online trolls. At least that’s a hopeful sign.

The problem with the PayPal account is close to being resolved, so I’ll be able to receive donations there soon.

I am trying to save money for several critical needs, such as the motel, replacing the tires on my car, and saving for a new apartment.

Obviously a decent apartment is a lot cheaper than any motel. Saving to move and pay the motel until moving day has been the problem. In addition, the monthly fee for the storage place is past due, and they charge a 20% penalty if I don’t pay by Wed.

Yes the show must go on. He claims he can't pay his bills, or eat and could be on the street at any moment but his hobby podcast that nobody cares about must take priority. ROFL.

Oh Anders is back now! How long does it take to change the theme on a website and set up an online store? Given how much has been done for the much hyped forum revamp, I can't imagine this will be anything more than a new Wordpress theme and a switch to a CafePress competitor - something which shouldn't take more than a day to do (and that is pushing it).

BTW this proves he is reading comments on here and Twitter. He forgot about the online store and Anders storyline because he is terrible with details. When he saw people pointing it out he just added it to the new e-beg as if he had remembered all along. Classic Schemey.

Unfortunately I think you are correct. He seems to have set his course and is sticking with it, for all that it's pretty clear where it is going to lead.

Steinberg's maudlin posts are laughable at best. He thinks that no one can see through his lies. Each post states he is a day away from the street and yet the money for the motel miraculously appears.

He keeps saying that his situation is still the same. No shit Sherlock! He somehow thinks that making minor updates on the website will make the money flow into his account. Yes, he has decided on a course of action and he can't bring himself to deviate from it.

He wants it all to happen for him. Get a new apartment, get his belongings out of hock and purchase those new tires! Then he can head down to the casino for a night of relaxation with the missus.
