I haven't received this one yet. Looks like he is staggering sending it out to different people. At least he is cutting to the chase. He doesn't want help. He just wants money, always money. Nothing will change.

It's from a mac.com address that Gene appears to be using for past donors. Some of the I get from this account end up being resent through other lists. Some are unique.

"Emergency Expenses" = the same expenses he has everyday.

Undoubtedly.

Today I still find myself in one of my periodic phases of marveling that Gene Steinberg operates like this with no shame and barely a pause. This is just what he does, begs for your money, says whatever he thinks will get you to hand it over. If anyone says "Hey wait a second...", then he attacks and slanders them.

I recognize we all know the drill by now but, sometimes the thought of it still boggles the mind.

Certainly it's no life I'd choose, and yet Gene is nothing if not dedicated to his program.

It's possible I'm also getting them to an email addresses I no longer use (I used to use it for doing various things online which were more susceptible to getting spam like newsletters, that would include sending anything to a spammer like Gene). I guess it is a "small reprieve" for me.

He's a sociopath. His only motivation is fulfillment of his own desires and for him there is only one - MONEY, the more he can get, the better it is.

He doesn't care how he gets it, whether he has to harm others directly or indirectly is irrelevant.

He is the kind of person who if he found someone dying on the street he would take out their wallet first and take any money out of it and put it in his own pocket, then maybe and only maybe (if he thought it would benefit him) he would call an ambulance.

The shadow

The shadow knows!
I just thought of this..
gene posted his phone all over! its viral
in surprised it then did he not post his bank account and routing number on Twitter?

The usual. We have tried to help Gene by suggesting resources that could change his living situation or help him through hard times. We have also tried to help by suggesting items that could be sold through the revised Paracast shop - signed copies of Vietnamese dongs, Teddy Bear themed goods - but its getting too late for him to take advantage of the Black Friday shopping as people look for their Paracast gifts. Maybe he needs a ghost writer - literally a ghost in keeping with Paracasting - to help him develop new themes, drama, or poetry.

But this does contain breaking news: PayPal is back!

I think the dongs and Teddy Bear themed goods are an excellent idea. Right now his main audience are people like us who view him as a scammer and psychological curiosity. Some ironic items are more likely to appeal to us.

I doubt anyone listens to the Paracast anymore as a legitimate podcast so pure Paracast branded items will not sell (assuming they ever would have).

I also love how lazy this new message is. Even on a weekend he can't really be bothered to put in a little effort (not that he has anything to do during the week other than watching Netflix and spending money). The weekend is the time when his readers may have more time to digest a new story with new plotlines and characters but as always he wastes the opportunity.

Here's a suggestion Gene. How about a new character? This new character would be a villain from Animal Control who is trying to take Teddy Bear into care after reports that he is being mistreated. Since you like repetition why not call him "Anderson" - as a riff on Anders? Anderson from Animal Control.

Also the best thing here is the title "The weekend crisis!" - not "A weekend crisis" but "the" - I think this is a subtle nod to us anti fans and the fact that there is a crisis every weekend.

Interesting, on the return of PayPal. I wonder if someone bailed him out in response to the last email you shared, or if he decided "close enough" and decided to funnel his begging back toward that account even if it remained $60-ish in the red.

And he's sticking with whining about "that group of cyberbullies". As ever, he is without shame.

I was traveling recently and spent almost a week in a motel. There was a hot breakfast every morning, and at least two of the nights they also provided free food to guests (one night it was stir fry, the other night some kind of pasta - I got back to the motel too late both days to partake so didn't pay much attention). I wouldn't choose to live there but it was a good reminder such places are hardly the hell on Earth Gene likes to claim. Sure there are motels and there are motels but I am pretty confident for awhile he was at an Extended Stay America (I think the claim was they were asked to leave after Teddy Bear upset a fellow guest...). Those places are not purgatory. His 'business model' requires that he have something to complain about when he begs. What a miserable existence he's chosen.

I love how the forum remix begins:

Dear Sucker,

This is a real letter about a real problem.

Here’s what’s going on:

I am in danger of losing all of my furniture and other goods if I don’t pay the storage facility in the next few days.

As usual, the motel has to be paid by 11 AM each day. If I don’t pay, they add a $25 late fee, and they can still throw us out by noon.

Other bills are due.

I can accept PayPal donations again, so here’s how you can help me today:

Please go to: Send Money, Pay Online or Set Up a Merchant Account - PayPal, login and use the Send to friends and family option. Enter my email address, gene@technightowl.com, and click or tap Next to continue the transaction.

Here’s another method if you’re not into using PayPal:

If you have an iPhone and iOS 11 or later, you can use Apple Pay Cash. You’d send the payment via the Messages app to: gene@theparacast.com

If you’re not able to send a donation, feel free to forward this message to someone who might assist.

I’m still being harassed by that group of cyberbullies, so if you have any questions about my living situation, please let me know.

Peace,
Gene

Always good to start with a lie, particularly when your audience doesn't believe you.

What I saw of Attack of the Rockoids was pretty bad, but I'll give Gene this, he manages to announce absolutely routine and commonplace expenses as though they are the sounding of a trump of doom.

Gene, we all have bills to pay. Very very few can live like Jim Mosley. You certainly haven't managed it, though you've probably come closer to that "never worked a day in his life" ideal than most.

The great tragedy underlying all your emails is: you and your wife need to live within your means. Guess what? So do all the rest of us. Everyone receiving your bullshit emails has at least the same 'obstacles' you have. Most however don't try to crowdsource a solution while offering the crowd absolutely nothing in return save the prospect of more begging. That's a Steinberg innovation. It apparently works so well you've been homeless more than half this year, and if I'm not mistaken stiffed your landlords for the rent for the remaining months.

As you've noted more than once, most of your emails bring in very little, and your solution to that is to send more emails. You make it sound like a crisis but that's crap. You'll say anything if you think it will get you a few dollars. Also, your podcasts suck.

I saw a news story, briefly, a few days ago about a couple who put up a GoFundMe for an allegedly homeless man, and raised a bunch of money. Turns out it was all a fraud - the three of them cooked up the story, grabbed the cash and took nice vacations together. Downright Beizeresque! It of course made me think of Gene and his methods of operating.

The homeless man had allegedly given someone his last $20 to help a person in need. I read that and wondered if Gene needs to add a little heroism to the story. But of course he tried that. He based his Facebook, GoFundMe, and other appeals on how he emptied his accounts and lost his retirement because he had to help Beizer (not to mention Beizer's family with a developmentally disabled child) when they faced a legal jam caused by a vengeful woman. $20? Gene gave his last $200,000.

Gene's problem is that Beizer's crimes and his complicity is a matter of public record. Perhaps it's time for Teddy Bear to step up and rescue a baby.

I'd also say that the public record refutes the possibility of Gene ever having $200k to lend to anyone - something which a history of credit defaults going back to the early 1990s would attest to.

Part of what went wrong for the homeless guy and the GoFundMe appeal is that the situation became too public after he alleged that he did not get the money. Now they all are facing conspiracy and theft by deception charges. There is a lesson here for Gene to be careful . . .

Gene's GoFundMe only raised $50 so it did not garner much attention - either from donors or law enforcement. Perhaps it failed because he lacked visuals. Using an old picture that made him look young enough to get a job was a mistake. If Beizer's wife and son had started the appeal for Gene it might have been more effective, but then again Gene might have found himself in a tougher situation.

Good call on the photo.

"Please help me get my life back" - pure Gene Steinberg. I still wonder what he thinks "his life" was or should be. Other than underwritten by everyone but himself, of course. He seems to have relatively expensive tastes for a layabout.

Yes the life he never actually "had" - he managed to con banks, loan companies, landlords, family members and even total strangers into paying for things but that is not actually the same as having a life. That implies something you have worked for - something you deserve. Only a completely delusional fool would presume that a life of grifting could go on forever.

One thing you can say is the God’s honest truth, Steinberg cares nothing about his name or reputation. Anyone looking up “Gene Steinberg” on the Internet will get information that will turn his or her stomach. All the sordid details are there to read.

What is Steinberg’s reply to all this? Basically, he calls people “trolls” as if this will stop the bleeding. When he states he is going to get the law after these people, you have to laugh. Hey Gene, the law is probably looking for you right now. Give them a hand and tell them where you are located. I’m sure you won’t be doing that any time soon.
