Whatever the case may be, The Paracast was something I enjoyed for years and still sort of miss it. Putting on an episode and hearing that intro was how I began many adventures (in a service truck). Didn't mean I agreed with all of it, and even actively disliked some of it, but kept coming back because usually at some point continuing to listen brought something interesting.

Gene has a heavy hand in his forums as do his admins and many of us, myself included, got rankled for having our posted content fiddled with gratuitously and then be lied to when asked about it. Eventually I took my marbles and went elsewhere - which was right here at AE. Add the endless begging to his less than forthright forum behavior, then suffer the loss of a decent co-host and you have a recipe for the remnant that's left. He shot himself in the foot.

It sounds like you were allowed to come and go without being slimed.

Yeah, wow. Ok. I just didn't expect it was like this, ie so deeply entrenched and so sadly comical. I went back over what someone told me ages ago, and yeah they mention some of the very issues you lot are saying here. I forget things over time though. Im a government and military documents researcher, and that keeps my mind so busy all the time. And, Im literally a world away. Further, if one believes everybodies next biggest and best rumor, then one has to beleive all manner of confusing and dissimilar tales. And thats obviously inpossible. Not just that, but almost everyone else whos ever interviewed me has been above board, so I didnt expect a single lone radio host (Gene) to buck the trend so much. Having said that, I was indeed warned, and I could have done more homework. To be fair though, Gene and Randall were good to me, quite easy going, not pushy. I can barely remember what we even spoke about. Probably UFO reporting systems within the US military and where significant reports are investigated, and what combat jets do during apparent UFO chases, etc.

For what it's worth, I think Gene's is one of the odder stories in a field largely composed of odd stories. And (again in my opinion) one of the strangest, longest-running grifts in a field not lacking for scams. The whole thing a little too sordid and he's taken advantage of or hurt too many people for it to be actually comical though, to my mind at any rate. (Not trying to scold you for saying 'comical', I've thought of it that way as well, but, in the end GS has done actual harm.)

I wish I would have saved this one email between Steinberg and myself. When I told him to get a real job, in this instance a position at an Apple store, he replied back in a particular nasty way. Working at a retail store was beneath him. Besides, he was also too old these days to work a real job.

I replied that working a retail job was much better than living on the street, he replied that he did have a job. Two jobs as a matter of fact. He was driving UBER/LYFT in addition to “producing” the Paracast show. I said that the Paracast wasn’t a real job. He then trotted out his diatribe about haters and trolls. I gave up about then. In Steinberg’s mind he is always right and you are always wrong and nothing will ever change that.

I am the Mohawk who brought Frank Joseph Collins' colorful past to Gene and J. Randall's attention. At first they were chagrined and appreciative, but that changed very quickly and they sent me some quite nasty messages expressing anger that I hadn't contacted them privately and had instead chosen to embarrass them publicly. Sorry, but they brought that embarrassment upon themselves. It honestly never crossed my mind that they could possibly not know of Frank Collins' history. Merely Googling "Frank Joseph" results in several pages of information about his unsavory past, and included on the first page is a picture of him in a Nazi uniform standing beneath a framed photo of Adolf Hitler. They really didn't know? How clueless! Frank Joseph Collin's history has for some time been well known in alternative history circles, including by some guests who have been on the Paracast in the past. I assumed a couple of smart guys like Gene and J. Randall had to know but just didn't care.

When I posted comments to this effect in the Paracast forum, J. Randall got in a snit and banned me for three months. I am therefore astounded to see here that at some point they thanked me for bringing this to their attention. How two-faced. They were anything but thankful to me personally.

The Paracast crew's idea of damage control is a lot like trying to put out a fire by throwing gasoline on it.

    Hello and Welcome to AE...q37

Good to see you here, I read many of the original posts about Frank, I think some are deleted now, as per usual for Gene to do...Randall is lost, seems common sense escapes him whenever he needs it most...

Oh my God, that "have Frank on again, maybe get his side of the story" breezy BS... I am not a tough guy, not even an Internet tough guy, but that is the moment where I saw red with J. Randall Murphy and was ready to beat him with his own keyboard.

I mean... Frank Joseph Collins' rotten story is well-known. You gave a platform to a Nazi, and then when that is brought to your attention, your solution as a "responsible journalist" is to give him a platform AGAIN? Is there any sense in that at all?

Gene and J. Randall seem to share the common trait of never being wrong. Must be nice!

Maybe the child molestation has another, softer side requiring explanation. Conviction, pish tush.

I would point out though, that Gene is a Jewish kid from Brooklyn. He should've been the first one to hit the chrome handle on this putz.

The only intelligent response from the "staff" would have been an abject apology along with a promise to pay attention to who their guests were in the future. And of course striking the episode from the archive. Anything else would have been stupid. What they actually did is hard to fathom. Randall's BS is in a class by itself. All the way at the bottom of the list, that is. That shit is beneath contempt and beyond redemption.

Before I was banned by J. Randall, Gene posted this: “Real curious. He has been in the public eye for 26 years. His books are published by A-list publishers, and he’s been on many radio and TV shows. But only when he appears on The Paracast does this raise your hackles. Curious indeed.”

When I read this message then and reread it now, I am struck by how utterly asinine it is.

First of all, Gene has no idea who I am, so how can he possibly know what I have or have not done in the last 26 years.

Second, what I have or have not in the last 26 years was not the issue. The issue was Frank Joseph Collin's appearance on the show.

Third, by stating how well-known Frank Joseph Collin is, Gene manages to underscore just how clueless he and J. Randall were. Many, many other people knew, but not Gene and J. Randall.

And what does “Curious indeed” imply? That my diabolical plan was to bide my time, waiting patiently for 26 years, for the perfect opportunity to publicly embarrass Gene Steinberg? Yes, finally my long wait is over.

I can't wait for the show in which Collin gives his side of the story. What would that be? It was all just a big misunderstanding? It's pretty hard to put a positive spin on child molestation and marching in a Nazi uniform down the streets in a predominantly Jewish suburb.
