Good and Bad

There are those who argue that evil does not exist. They say there are simply right decisions and wrong decisions and someone like Hitler, for example, made a lot of wrong decisions. Personally, I have a hard time swallowing this idea.

Animals do what animals do because they simply know it is best for their situation....
Hitler did what he did because of delusions of grandeur.

evil in humans is a mental problem imo....ALL the VAST majority of humans on this planet want in life is to live in peace.
some manage this in some of the most horrendous conditions imaginable.

like i've always said:

for every awafull terrible act we hear of in the media= there millions of wonderful, human acts of caring & love we will never hear of....

Life is all about choices.

You don't always have good choices.

Sitting around and bitching about it doesn't accomplish anything.

Make the best choice available and live with it.
choices.. this is a great word.

here are some choices to ponder= jump naked into a pile of stinging nettles or a vat of boiling oil.

obviously, the boiling oil is instant death... stinging nettles will cause extream discomfort for x amount of time.

but my question is:

why jump into any of them? don't jump is a choice- then at least you'll not be responsible for the x amount of time you're suffering stinging nettle pain:wink8:

anyways, what do i know

Well...

My parents used to pester me on a relationship question, and I told them I would rather be dragged naked over broken glass.

i know this for sure. there is a state of being where 'choice' no longer exists. how liberating is/would that be.

a lioness kills cheetah cubs to lessen the competition for food= good or bad?

Death is natural, you know that. But, in general, humans do identify that as something bad.
however im not sure why you mentioned competition for food, that confused me.
A lion, mostly, if not for anger, kills to eat and feet its children.

If we analyse the situation:
the Lion & it's kids > get to eat & are not hungry > Positive.
after eating they might take a nap > which creates an opporutnity for other predators > Negative.
but they will survive for another day > Positive.
or if they survive for another day > they will get killed the next day > Negative.
if they die > they won't have to suffer anymore > Positive.

cheetah dies > if female > it might have kids > which could die of hunger > Negative
cheetah dies > if female & doesn't have kids || or if male > amount of cheetahs will be lowered > if balance breaks > lions and other animals will overproduce > Negative

If you go deep enough it's just +, -, +, - ...
