That's an old article but spot on. We were just talking about this over in the UFOs; skeptics, disclosure and contact thread. Doty's stories do change, I believe he is the root source of a lot of nonsense we'd be better off without.

Thing is though, he only recognized ways in which he can plant the seed that allows people to manipulate themselves, as the old poster says 'I Want to Believe' therefore they do. The Air Force recognized that too and found it useful.

I'm not saying there are no real visitors, there are too many high strange incidents reported over many decades but whatever 'the Truth' is I seriously doubt it fits into the narrative that people like Lue Elizondo or Jeremy Corbell or any of the rest would have us believe.

That's the reason why I cross-reference ufo cases to mainstream science physical effects. Physics is same everywhere in the universe and its behaviour is consistently predictable. That's x100 times more reliable method then teasing tea leaves readings out of politicised government documents full of headfakes and petty internal politics of various departments.
Problem is that although we all benefited from science, nobody wants to invest the smallest amount of time to understand electromagnetism and general relativity. So everybody diverts to common sense and politicised gossip.

Hey guys, I'm starting to see the story on missing NASA scientists pick up traction among news and podcasters outside of Ufology and paranormal. Are any of you following this? If so, does it seem to have substance? My reading time is really limited these days.

No clue but it is odd. I've also read about sabotage at various industrial plants and refineries around the world but right now that's no mystery.
 
Ida know, so much of what looks like earth shattering news is just stuff that previous generations wouldn't have noticed. Not just because of our chronic overexposure via 24 hour news channels and the internet, but also because people spent more time working back in the day.
 

Mystery as US government registers alien.gov and aliens.gov domain names​

According to federal records, the US government has added two new domains to its portfolio this week - but these aren't any ordinary domains - they are a sign that something significant may be in the works. The two domains - alien.gov and aliens.gov - quickly attracted a great deal of press attention while generating speculation that a major release of UFO-related material may be about to happen.

Back in February, Trump ordered federal agencies to begin releasing the government's files on UFOs and aliens, so it's possible that these two domains will be used to host a website through which members of the public will be able to access this information. The news also comes around a month after UK filmmaker Mark Christopher Lee claimed that he had been told by a government insider that Trump had already written a speech disclosing the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life.

Initially, the speech was to be given during a United Nations address at some point later this year, but this was then changed to July 8th to coincide with the anniversary of the Roswell incident. According to the insider, Trump had been adamant that the speech should be associated with the infamous incident - which saw an alleged alien spacecraft crash on a ranch outside Roswell in 1947 - because of its symbolic association with the UFO phenomenon.

So could alien.gov and aliens.gov be the real deal? Could these domains point to an up-and-coming website containing all the US government's knowledge on UFOs and alien visitors? It's almost certain that *something* is going to be hosted there. The question is - what will it be?

Unfortunately, Trump is about the worst possible choice for a disclosure President. Because like everything else that goes on nowadays, it will probably reduced down to a question of whether you like President Trump or not. And I hate that, because this is an important story which humanity has experienced for its entire existence. The notion that we are "alone" in the universe is a modern invention, something that every civilization through most of history would find ludicrous. Because, they knew we are not alone as taught by thousands of years of experiences.
