The government shutdown is now the longest in history entering the fourth week. There's problems at airports due to TSA employees calling in sick rather than going to work without pay.

Quite honestly I cannot understand how such a system is in place.

Seems crazy to me that just because a budget is not agreed, various Government agencies shutdown.
