Haunted Dolls

I managed to get to see the lady in the Antique store today she has the dolls in a case at the very back of her shop in a dark secluded spot so customers cannot see them. The pictures are a bit dark and crappy I used my cam phone to take them as they are all locked in a case and a flash photo was not any good but you can see them , they are creepy. Which one do you think is the creepiest.
Thanks for taking the time to take the pictures, that's awesome. Honestly, the creepiest one to me is the bottom most left.. it just has a blank stare but at the same time you can tell there's something looking back at you :unsure8:

I been there a few times when in town and she has been closed with a Closed for Repairs on the door but luckily today she was open, she told me she did have one other in that case but sold it awhile ago for $2000 so I missed that one. Goodness knows where these dolls have been or what they have done as they are very old . Its eerie to stand there alone with them in the dark I was just waiting for one of them to move or roll their eyes at me.

Well I'm glad you got to get some pictures of them and share her collection with us on here. I do have to wonder who would willingly spend $2,000 on a doll like that, but I'm sure there are people who somehow enjoy them... I know I wouldn't be able to stand near them in the dark. Just imagining being locked inside a building with dolls like that, at night, that would probably be one of my worst nightmares.

Is that the girl doll with red cheeks ? I found her the creepiest one , she has twin plaited blonde hair and looks a bit like Annabelle in her long crinoline dress. Maybe I will buy her. :shake:

I think that's the one I meant, yeah. The look on her face just gives me goosebumps. The rest are for sure creepy, but that one takes the cake...

I wouldn't want to spend a night in her shop its full of very old and unusual items stuffed animals and really odd bizarre things its housed in an old building with wooden beams it actually looks a bit like a barn in there so I bet that place will creak at night also. But yes to spend the night next to all those dolls crammed in that case , well, I am not sure how many were in there actually, quite a few ,more than you can see in the photos. She told me she moved them to where they are as people would not come into her shop, she had them near the front door . She is very expensive I would say that the dolls will be there for a few years to come. If I get that Annabelle look alike one I will post better pictures of her for you to see. I ahve a big glass display case she will fit into in the hallway. Be something for my guests to have a look at , or maybe she will be looking at them maybe ? Won't be for awhile though but I will let you know if I do.

I'm not sure anyone in their right mind would want to.. although I can think of a small handful that just might. The whole wooden beams and creaking thing makes it even worse, imagine being in there alone and hearing the creaking and fast paced footsteps? I have to admit, if I saw them in a shop I would be inclined to look, but I don't think I could do it for long without expecting one of them to look back. If you do indeed decide to "adopt" one of them, please do post more pictures, but don't bring home an unwanted guest by doing so..

I didn't get a headache after visiting them I usually do get headaches when I come into contact with bad vibes like going thru a Mental Asylum or an old jail I usually don't feel well after doing that so I try and avoid those places. Yes no unwanted guests my house is bad enough without importing more things.

I was thinking if I should get her I could set up a 24 hr surveillance camera in the glass case with her to monitor it and see if anything happens.

So you've been in numerous asylums and other presumably "haunted" locations? I've only ever really been in a small handful of locations like that, but I want to travel to others that aren't illegal to enter..

Then you're going to check your footage one day and see something that makes you want to chuck her over a bridge..

Maybe lol. Well at the price the Antique lady is asking for them it would be imperative to find her a new home. But then its not like my house hasn't odd things going on in here from time to time . I wonder if one more would make any difference. But you have a very valid point the doll is an unknown even the shop owner does not know its history nor really any of the others , she knows what the dolls are as far as make and year of manufacture even if roughly but the thing is she doesn't know their past history maybe mundane and boring or something a little bit more in the exciting vein. And that's another question are these dolls one offs or are they from a more mass produced line ? They are survivors I would say been thru the wear and tear but now safe inside their locked glass case.

It would definitely be something interesting to own, and a real conversation starter for sure... but when it comes to bringing things like that into your home, I don't know. Especially with them having unknown history, I think that would be a gamble on your side. Of course they could all be harmless and just look that way to make you want to crap yourself on purpose. I suppose there's only one way to find out, eh... :p

I agree I think that's what got me thinking even though your creepo meter is going off its the fact that you could own something that looks all the part like that doll in the movies Annabelle. Even her hair and dress are very similar I actually thing this one ( name unknown) is creepier than Annabelle and the fact that it is real and sitting just in front of you is intriguing. The doll has been there for a few years I remember seeing her in there not sure where the lady got them all from ? One of them is a smaller doll and she knows for a fact that it is an Australian made one ( so that means there were more of them I guess) where the other one look more to be home made ones or at least made for a professional they are way to big to be toys and are all made of wood not plastic.

Especially if there's nothing actually up with any of them, and owning one wouldn't present any real danger. If you or people you know are big fans of Annabelle, whether it's her story or even just the movie.. having a doll that slightly resembles her in your house would be pretty awesome. I think one of doll stories I've heard about that creeps me out the most is Robert the doll... I think he's housed in a museum in Key West, Florida at the moment, but that hasn't even really stopped the stories...

Wooden dolls are the ones that come to mind when I think of creepy dolls, those and porcelain... plastic ones not so much. Out of the ones you showed here, though, that one with the rosy cheeks is definitely the creepiest, and if that's the kind of decoration you're seeking... I think you found it

I have a couple of Ouija boards here one is an American one and the other was made in Australia by a company called Parker Brothers I think its 1960s vintage , well both are old. I have never used them but have kept them as a curiosity more than anything else one is in the top of the hallway cupboard the other inside an old school desk . So maybe that would be the same with the doll as long as its kept somewhere quiet and you don't mess with it all will be ok. Never had any problems with the boards so hopefully it would be the same with the doll. I looked that up I am going to buy that movie Robert that looks pretty spooky as well some say he is worse than Annabelle. If a doll looked like he does it can stay where it is . Annabelle in the movie she was a hand carved wooden doll this one is actually a ventriloquists doll her mouth opens and her eyes can move. Yes the rosy cheeked one caught my eye straight away it was so dark it took a while to get a good look at them , as you can see from the photos not much light. We will see what happens with it. Won't be until after Xmas .

Robert the doll ( Movie version) . and the real Robert the doll. They say Robert is pre Chucky and pre Annabelle .

Oh man, Ouija boards.. I only messed with one in my life so far, but I do think I would own one of those. I agree, as long as you don't mess with them, usually no bad should really come out of it. Yeah, Robert is definitely a special case in his own. Although, I would probably visit that museum if given the chance just to see him. Many people have reported strange interactions with Robert moving in his case there.

Ventriloquist dolls are one of the worst kinds too, in the case of them being creepy.. Just the fact that their mouth can open and close and the way their eyes move.. Nope. Not in my life time.

Its the same problem with the Ouija boards you don't know the history about them or what people have been doing with them maybe nothing maybe something. I do know the larger board the Australian one I actually communicated with the guy that owned it and he assured me that it was bought new and it had been in the family since then ( 1960s) . The other USA one not sure . Both are in very good condition and haven't been damaged at all . Thats another thing with the dolls I wonder if just coming into close proximity with them can have any sort of effect on you (?) especially if you can touch them ?

Before I ever brought anything like that into a place where I was living, I would probably consult someone who would be able to know it's origins and what dangers it could present by even touching it. Sometimes an items energy in itself is enough to cause damage without activating anything
