'Haunted' Doll Terrifies Australian Town

Residents of a small town in Australia say that their community is plagued by an unsettling presence in the form of a haunted doll that brings bad luck to those who get too close to it. The eerie object, which can be seen below, reportedly sits on a swing located in a mangrove swamp in the tiny town of Lucinda. Among the mere 406 people living in the community, tales about the creepy doll and its unnerving 'powers' have spread by way of whispers from residents seemingly afraid of 'upsetting' the odd object.

Parliamentarian Nick Dametto, who represents Lucinda and several other nearby towns, indicated that "everyone seems to know about the doll, but nobody really wants to talk about it." Be that as it may, local legend states that anyone who comes too close to the object winds up suffering some sort of bad luck. The most frequent 'victims' of the doll, Dametto said, are people who are boating or fishing in the nearby waters and it is claimed that even saying "hello" to the object can unleash its ire.

"This might be pure circumstance or just a modern wives' tale," Dametto mused, "but it's something I'm definitely not willing to toy with." Although the origins of the doll appear to be shrouded in mystery, one business owner in Lucinda claims that the 'little girl' and her swing were created by a local couple as something of an art installation with the goal of adding some color to the community. Should that be the case, their mission has proven to be a strange success as the town has now become infamous for being the home of a haunted doll that curses anyone who dares go near it.

Security Camera Catches Creepy 'Haunted' Doll Moving on Its Own?

A spooky piece of security camera footage from England shows a purportedly haunted doll seemingly moving on its own and some suspect that a ghost child could have been playing with the toy. The weird scene reportedly unfolded last week in the town of Rotherham at the home of paranormal enthusiasts Lee and Linzi Steer, who have turned their residence into something of a museum of haunted objects. According to the couple, the doll at the center of the eerie video had recently been sent to them by an anonymous donor who offered no insight as to why they had mailed the creepy doll to them. However, the answer to that question might be found in the footage captured by the camera in their home.

Noticing that something seemed amiss with the newly acquired doll the morning after they placed it with their collection, the Steers checked the security system that watches over their allegedly haunted objects at night and were astounded by what they saw. In the footage, the toy can be seen lurching forward it a series of odd motions as if it is being manipulated by an unseen force. "It's like the joints are physically moving like a human," Linzi observed, "if it was a natural fall it'd have gone on the floor, but it didn't. The way she was positioned defies gravity."

Interestingly, despite being the home of an array of objects suspected of being haunted, she revealed that "this footage is the first time we've caught something moving on camera at the museum" and mused that "it baffles me." As one might imagine, given the nature of where the doll now 'lives,' some have suggested that the toy caught the attention of a ghost child that was intrigued by the new addition to the collection. More skeptical viewers, of course, argue that the video is either a clever hoax or that the object's inexplicable movement was natural event that seems paranormal by virtue of where it happened.

Thieves in Thailand Return Stolen 'Hello Kitty' Doll Suspected of Being Haunted

A pair of thieves who stole a 'Hello Kitty' doll from a totaled truck in a Thai scrapyard wound up hastily returning the pilfered toy after they experienced unsettling paranormal activity upon bringing it into their home. The very weird case reportedly unfolded this past Tuesday in the community of Mueang, when the proprietor of the business noticed that the rather sizeable depiction of the iconic cartoon character, which had been sitting in the backseat of the destroyed vehicle for the past few months, was now inexplicably situated on the ground outside the truck. Puzzled by how this came about, he checked the security camera footage and discovered that a couple had stolen the doll earlier in the day, but that was only the start of the odd incident.

As he continued watching the footage, the scrapyard owner was surprised to see that the same couple had come back to the property the next day in the early morning hours, wherein they quickly dumped the doll and fled the scene. At a loss for why they would have done such a thing, he recalled being told that the toy was actually a birthday gift that had been given to the driver of the vehicle before they perished in the crash that totaled the truck and that the doll had remained unclaimed in the vehicle since it arrived at the site back in May. As such, the scrapyard owner theorized that, unbeknownst to the thieves, the doll was actually haunted.

Amazingly, when the two culprits were eventually identified and questioned, they appeared to confirm the scrapyard owner's supernatural suspicion. When asked why they returned the doll, one of the thieves explained that, after stealing the toy, she encountered the shadowy figure of a little girl in her bedroom that night and, eerily, felt the sensation of someone or something choking the life out of her. The experience was so unsettling that the duo quickly concluded that the doll was possessed by a sinister spirit. As such, they immediately went back to the scrapyard and dropped the toy off in front of the truck in the hopes of making amends with whatever dark forces they had seemingly upset with their misadventure.
