You're taking things out of context and perspective, the government does things like closing borders, restricting air travel, making sure the vaccines are available to everyone, etc, certainly not micro-managing us adults...That is what I mean by the government doing something...

Most people who get infected have only mild to average symptoms and accompanying issues which do not require hospitalization...

Good thing you're not a lawmaker in these lands...

If the covid death rate was much much higher perhaps more extreme actions might need to be called upon however covid is nothing like the black plague or even as bad as the Spanish flu pandemic a century ago...

The wife and I got the Johnson one shot vaccine almost 2 weeks ago.
None of us got sick from it.
My neighbor got the Derma shots and he got sick both times.

What's wrong? You already have a legislator like that, I was just doing it in Donald's style (and his favorite Kim Jong Il).

That's actually a valid argument. I didn't take that into account.

But it is still true that nobody in his right mind can say that COVID didn't cause huge damage to the economy and society. Flue never paralyzed the economy and made millions of people unemployed. And that new virus strands are continually evolving. If 100% of people vaccinated then that disease would die out and break would be put on evolution of new variants. In the same way, that cholera, polio, tuberculosis, and Ebola were eradicated.

Simply put, it is utterly selfish to go around infecting your family, friends, and colleagues. Refusing vaccination is antisocial behavior same as rioting and smashing shop windows.

I'm noticing less people wearing masks in town than two weeks ago in the grocers and pet store, not that I mind, just an observation...I wore a mask today just in the hospital, I had to go there and drop off paperwork, it's still required at all medical facilities and pharmacies...I've still got 5 new black fabric masks with filters and extra filters I bought if I needed them for work...

I went to UPS last Thursday to mail a computer back to work and the mask sign was still on the doors. Today I went to mail a package to my grandson and the mask sign was off. The employees were masked (all young and probably not vaccinated yet) and half the customers were maskless.

Highly Contagious Delta Variant of COVID That Ravaged India Is Spreading in the U.S.

The highly contagious Delta variant of COVID-19 that spread rapidly in India is now in the U.S., worrying health experts with large portions of the country still unvaccinated.

The variant has been found in more than 6% of cases in the U.S., and may be the cause of more than 18% in some parts of the country, the Centers for Disease Control said.

The strain, which was first identified in India and is also known as B.1.617.2, has taken hold in the U.K. and represents 60% of the country's cases. The U.K. was set to ease COVID-19 restrictions on June 21, but is reevaluating reopening due to the increase in cases.

I recently read an article that said when the population of people that received the first wave of the new vaccine, start to get sick and die. The government will just blame it on a stronger strain of Covid.

I think it was the article dlw posted.

Kind of weird catastrophe/conspiracy minded thinking. So, IF people who go the first wave of the vaccine start getting sick, then we can see how "The Government" reacts. Which government was the article talking about?

Apparently there have been 26 teenage boys identified as having heart issues related directly to the pfizer vaccine. I think the pfizer and moderna versions of the vaccine will cause more problems than any that are designed, created based on the old tried and true methods. I have seen the side effects of those mRna immune drugs used for cancer patients and it is what is going to show up in the populations that have received the pfizer & moderna vaccines, probably in the same percentages as the cancer patients who get things like Keytruda or other immune drugs using the mRna method.

Christian style fear mongering in my opinion, yes the mRNA vaccines are new and truly untested for long term stability and I have my own reservations concerning that particular type of vaccine process...However to jump to the conclusion that it will turn and kill everyone who was administered the shot is shortsighted and irresponsible to proclaim, amounts to just another antivax type of fear mongering...

Even more irresponsible to claim that "The Government" planned it that way.

To be fair. The government has planned a lot of things "that way" in our past, present and future. So, it isn't that much of a stretch.

I'm not getting vaccinated until the J&J is available here. Apparently, there was some kind of problem in the manufacturing of J&J vaccine that was allotted for Canada and so they refused to to accept that batch.

Everyone in my family (except the children) have been vaccinated now, seems the older folk in the family went for the Moderna or Pfizer and the younger ones chose the Johnson & Johnson as I did although I'm not young anymore lol...
