Some reason i thought it was headin N.E. and not west into Mexico.

It changed slightly, still westerly but more North instead of South, like it's spiraling west into Mexico...lol

Eyewall will be right near to my home with the new track. No escaping the destruction and loss here. I'm really in shock right now. I will literally have nothing left. Anyway, have evacuated and yes...the roads and gas are as bad as shown on TV.

Glad you and your family are safe, stay well, if you need anything let me know...

Each passing hour seems to bring more bad news for Florida and more good news for the Mid-Atlantic, where I live. I'm worried about family I have down there, especially my elderly uncle and aunt in Hollywood.

She's back to a category 5 and the latest run is troubling. Shows it coming into the keys as a monster 890mb category 5 and heads due north up the spine of Florida. It stays a category 5 until about the center of the state.:eek::eek::eek:

Then proceeds to destroy the entire state. Hurricane force winds for about a 400 miles swath of land.

Final frame. Still a strong catagory 4 and an absolute crush job for the entire state. This is probably the real deal and what we will see.

The whole thing seems creepy and surreal. I'm not saying I believe any of the conspiracy people who claim the weather is being controlled, but if you were trying to create the worst possible scenario for Florida I don't think you could do a better job than this.

I believe there is even a full moon tonight (?) which will raise the storm surge even more.

Yeah eyewall is pretty much going over my house. Im across from beach just above St. Petersburg/Clearwater in Tampa Bay Area. I'm purple all the way. Given up all hope.

I've been through two cat 1 hurricanes in my life. I can't imagine what a cat 3 or higher would be like. One of them came through during the day and the other was at night.

It really sucks when a hurricane passes over your house at night! You have no power and you hear the damned thing for hours -- like an endless freight train. The wind is lashing the rain against the windows so hard you can't see a thing outside. Every time you hear a tree branch snap or a tree fall, you wonder what the hell it fell on. It's very tiring and very stressful.

Neighbors usually pull together afterwards to help each other out. That part of the experience can be positive and encouraging.

God sent Hurricanes Harvey, Irma for 'humility, awe and repentance'

"Jennifer Lawrence blamed Mother Nature and Donald Trump for Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, but Kirk Cameron has his own ideas on who sent them.

The actor said the hurricanes are "a spectacular display of God’s immense power" and he didn't send them without reason.

"When he puts his power on display, it’s never without reason. There’s a purpose. And we may not always understand what that purpose is, but we know it’s not random and we know that weather is sent to cause us to respond to God in humility, awe and repentance," he said in a video on Facebook.

The 46-year-old said the hurricanes should remind us that God "supplies our life, breath and everything else so that you and I reach out to him.""

Largest evacuation in US history as 5.6 MILLION people are ordered to leave Florida

The largest evacuation in US history is underway as more than 5.6million people have been ordered to leave Florida before Category 5 Hurricane Irma strikes the Sunshine State.

The state's Gov. Rick Scott urged people who had not left yet to leave as soon as possible on Friday. He warned those who plan to stay, that they may have to ride out the dangerous storm at their own risk.

He explained that the biggest concern with the powerful hurricane is the predicted storm surge that will come along with the lashing winds and heavy rains.
