Inappropriate yet the funniest prank I think I've ever witnessed

Does anybody else remember when this actually happened? I remember when I first heard it my jaw dropped and I said to myself "O M G" - I can't believe it made it through the screeners/management etc. and that the idiot reading it didn't catch on.

yeah this was a big laugh for a long time years back. It's easy to sit back here and see the prank, I'm guessing it's not as easy immediate catch when you're just reading the prompt. Though a sharper person would have caught it.

Agreed. I try and put myself in the shoes of the FAA intern that initiated this and think of the amount of sheer balls he had to provide those names.

I almost find it hard to believe that nobody at the station was in on it. Think about it; all the times we've seen plane crashes, do they ever put up a graphic (with an announcement) to point out just the pilots names? Like if it was a American Airlines crash, they wouldn't say "Newsflash: we just learned the pilots names that crashed in the B-737. They are; Jeff Smith, Alex Thomas, Sean White & Jeff Brushie....more to come later". No - that wouldn't happen. Just the graphic alone (without the funny names) is suspect. The whole thing stinks of inside conspiracy but whatever. It will live on forever until the end of time on the internet
