If its pure machine code designed to be executed on Intel compatible processors , or some highlevel programming language.

Yes. Same risk as downloading any arbitrary program or app on your computer or device.

But a datafile, image or sound message not so much..

In the end its up to the humans to f*ck up

Well in that scenario the original bits of voyager would probably be used as a power source and the AI would then hack the communications systems of voyager in order to contact earth and hack into our systems...
