I'm undecided about Bigfoot. But given that a number of people thought they saw it, if it's not real, what did they see?

Bears have a distinct look when they walk on their hind legs. It seems doubtful that bears account for all the alleged Bigfoot sightings.

....Unless you think the sightings are all lies or delusions?

Some old Indian legends spoke of the giant hairy man as a shape shifter . One tribe I can’t remeber which even said he was a shapeshifting armadillo (if that’s the case I’ve seen tons).

Kinda surprised nobody has voted alien! Les stroud said that out of the believers he encountered during his Bigfoot expeditions that was always one end of the spectrum. That if they didn’t believe he was a earthly animal than alien was the alternative!

I’m not completely opposed to it being a out of this dimension/spiritual being. But I stick by my original answer that most are mis identified. I’m almost certain if you erased the legend from peoples minds that very few would attribute it to being a giant ape.

Very similar to a ufo in that we say it’s not a plane or meteor so it has to be a Extra Terrestrial.

Yeah, they shapeshift after being out on the highway a while

Regarding Les Stroud - I have one story which is a bit offputting that I can't actually back up so it could be pure bullshit. Came from someone who I don't personally care for but have no real reason to disbelieve.
Seems Les Stroud (and coincidentally the numbnuts acquaintance) was at Lake Minnewaska in NY and was pretending to be in the deep wilderness ..... and this acquaintance saw Les filming an episode as if he was in the Deep Dark .... yet the place is literally overrun with tourists pretending to be out in the wilderness. Not a LS fan so I can't really speak to any of that but when I have heard his name associated with Bigfoot I couldn't help but wonder about his veracity. Maybe someone here knows better - was there even a Shawangunks episode?

I paid a yearly subscription for Les Strouds survivor man tv channel. He was going to do more Bigfoot searches but not enough people subscribed and the channel just ended up rehashing stuff and left me disillusioned and disappointed with Mr Stroud.

    exactly!
call me a conspiracy theorist but thats exactly what i got from him
in fact i will go even further and say that its also plausible that wendelle stevens paid a random swiss farmer to work as his personal disinfo agent
remenber stevens was a colonel, and military = disinfo

The late Phillip Morris models a gorilla suit identical to the one he claims he sold patterson.

i agree, though its hard to know if "old" bigfoot is the same as "new" bigfoot, old bigfoot looks like a extinct hominid, maybe even some missing link, new bigfoot is definitely paranormal in origin with many reports of cloaked, teleporting and even telepatic bigfoots

I don't think so. I've watched Stevens and his crack squad of UFO investigators go over to Switzerland and the way Wendelle speaks, carries himself & asks questions (and also speaks to the camera during the documentary) - I believe he was duped just like a lot of other folks.
