Is this Normal?

I almost always sleep with my outside door open and the fly wire screen closed. I like the fresh air. But there is a bit of a tear in the fly screen so I usually have a constant colony of Mossies in my room. (I only have one bedroom off the kitchen. Tiny unit in the end of a shed.
Anyway i am used to the mossies. I am not a fan of pesticides so although there is a spray can here somewhere I never use it. I got up the other morning and there were dead Mossies everywhere, they were on my computer desk, kitchen sink, clusters of them on the floor. It was like every mossisde in the place decided to die at once.
I did not spray insecticide, yet I could not have bettered the death toll with anything short of a bug bomb.
I literately walked around with the brush and shovel sweeping up mossie bodies. Been here over two years now, and I have never seen it before.
Any ideas, do mossies all die on the one night. I have never seen that before.

I don't think so, the 2 dogs and the cat were still alive so I don't think it was that :)

Well you got me with that one. I have seen flying ants do that like the whole nest just committed suicide I have seen that . We will have to investigate further and see what killed them. I had a quick look awhile ago and couldn't find anything. Its like a mass extinction event but localised to where you live. It would be hard to imagine that their use by dates would all come up at the same time . Very odd.

It was very weird and a little scary. It really felt like one of those apocalypse movies where the hero wakes up and there are dead bodies everywhere. There were just so many of them. I literally needed a brush and shovel in patches on the floor.

Mozzies only live for a few days then they die. But not all at once like that.
No, very odd. I just gave my Kitchen benches a wipe over and upon moving things forward like the kettle and knife block I found yet more corpses I missed.

No definitely did not use insecticide. When I went to bed, I had no particular awareness of an increase in mossies. The ones here are very small and not all that nasty, So i had a few buzzing round but nothing at all to cause any concern. But man, in the morning, there were way way more corpses than I heard buzz.

Well guess what round two. Morning here, just swept up another bunch of Mossies, only maybe 15 or 20 this time.
Plus more on my computer desk, only 3 or 4 there. Then coming out of my bathroom a big arse scary looking centipede wandering across my kitchen floor. If I see a scarab beetle you will hear my scream from your houses. This is starting to feel like the Mummy here.

  1. Mosquito traps can kill thousands of mosquitoes in a single night. One study conducted by public health researchers in Australia found that a Mega-Catch™ trap caught and killed more than 44,000 female mosquitoes from 17 species in less than two weeks.
  2. Bug zappers are useless against mosquitoes.

  1. Nothing about Mosquito mass deaths without traps/ insecticides ??

For years I've seen bees crawling on the ground and presume they die from ingesting nano-particles or hazardous compounds from chemtrails.

Do the mosquitos ever bit you?

Maybe a change in the weather (?) bees die off and walk around like they have lost their purpose when it gets colder. Maybe if you repatch your fly screen door may fix it ? Still no answer for mass mozzie die back though ??

Rarely, they don't seem to be the same breed as those long legged buggers that eat you in summer. These ones are very tiny, probably not even half the size of the river and lake ones we get in the country.

Yeah I thought about the weather. It did get a change late last night here that definitely coincided with them. Only I have never noticed it with other cool changes in the past?
