KGRA Radio Seems Dead

After a long, slow slide have they succumbed? I finally visited their page and all the archives are gone. Some of the shows were pretty good.

I tried accessing the archives about a month ago. All you get is an error message. I emailed KGRA 4 times to tell them of the problem. I have yet to get a reply. Most of hosts haven’t had a new show in over a year. I guess when you don’t get paid for your work it is hard to get excited about interviewing people.

On iTunes, some KGRA shows (e.g., Don Ecker and Lee Speigel) list recent ( this month) episodes.

Yes. These internet "radio" sites have been abject failures, and most such shows were pretty awful. I liked Sky Tours and Micah Hanks, who have other venues anyway. Most of the others--Commander Whatzhisname, Ecker, etc. just seemed like nutters and nattering geezers to me.

This is one thing I see on KGRA that made me cringe. Due to lack of guests, the other hosts would appear quite frequently to talk. It’s best to pack it in when that starts to occur.

Commander Cobra (Task Force Gryphon) is a guy who talks mostly about military matters. Although he is quite intelligent, listening to war talk constantly gets boring very quickly. Don Ecker (Dark Matters) has been doing the same routine for the past twenty years. He loves to tell you about his past careers in the military, law enforcement and his involvement in UFO Magazine. Once in awhile is okay but he does this every episode.
