Sorry to be a funsnatcher but people tend to forget that New York does actually have TWO US Senators. It's easy to do that because we don't. We have Chuck Schumer. The remaining .08% worth of Senator is Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). We think of her as maybe an end table over in the corner that you don't even bother to toss your keys on, just collects dust.

She's a sock puppet or more accurately and wind sock that'll just go in whatever direction is easiest. Not exactly laden with gravitas. The other hot button issue of national importance that she's involved in right now is to give Meghan Markle the private contact information of a number of other senators so she can cold call them and wag around the title of nobility she's renounced. Because she has important issues to promote, like herself.

Senator Gillibrand has seats on both the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, which are the two Senate committees with primary "jurisdiction" over UAP-related matters. For reasons that I explained in the blog post that Nivek linked above, for Senator Gillibrand to lay out such a ground-breaking amendment for possible incorporation into the National Defense Authorization Act -- a "must pass" bill -- provides an unprecedented opportunity to enact very substantial legislation on this subject matter. We should seek support among lawmakers of all stripes in this endeavor.

Agreed it’s just I don’t see her as particularly credible. She’s local. Ask New Yorkers and many will say something similar

Interesting. I suppose you don't get to her position by saying things you don't need to; once you say them you can't un-say them. Been married enough to know that :) John B Alexander referred to UFOs as a tar baby, a third rail you don't want to touch and that stigma persists. I'd think partly out of an abundance of caution in an era when every word you utter is instantly transmitted everywhere but a lot is the same old mockery that's like a nasty fart that just won't clear out of the room.

Really cool - but also a reminder that at one time a person in that position would have said about the same thing in regard to things that have since been declassified. Also that what she might have in mind as the audience for her words is probably very different than what we might consider. No doubt every public statement she makes is noted and analyzed.

Then again, at one time it wouldn't have been a woman in that position at all and the public discourse on this very different, and more brief. I'll take that as progress.

Intresting to see how the untouchable has now for some reason become something many of these high profile people want to touch. Even if ever so slightly.

I think one complication to admitting that they do know about ET visitation is that they would also have to admit they've been using it as a convenient mask for very terrestrial purposes.

I find it telling that Meghan Markle and Mr. Markle don’t wish to be Royals anymore. Yet no one would be giving them the time of day if they were average citizens like you and me. I am waiting for her to announce that she will be running for some sort of political office.

Defense officials announce new UFO task force

Washington is stepping up efforts to probe possible alien activity after officials admitted they could not explain the phenomena of UFO sightings. The Department of Defense is rolling out a new group tasked with finding and identifying UFOs in restricted airspace, officials said Tuesday.

The new outfit comes after the intelligence community verified a series of unexplained aerial phenomena sightings by the military earlier this year, but said it could not identify the mysterious vehicles, in a report to Congress detailing the government’s knowledge of UFOs.

The Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group will succeed the Navy’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, an arm of the military started last year to “improve its understanding of, and gain insight into” UFOs, according to a press release.

“Incursions by any airborne object into our SUA pose safety of flight and operations security concerns, and may pose national security challenges,” the department wrote.

“DOD takes reports of incursions – by any airborne object, identified or unidentified – very seriously, and investigates each one.”

Earlier this year, officials confirmed they had investigated 144 UFO sightings reported by government sources since 2004, including unexplained vehicles that traveled at speeds of up to 43,000 miles per hour and changed direction on a dime.

Most of the incidents — such as the near daily sightings of UFOs harassing a warship near San Diego in 2017 — were not part of US programs that it meant to keep under wraps, according to the task force’s Congressional report.

While the report offered little extraterrestrial insight, it did recommend that the government improve the policies, training and tech needed to further investigate and understand unexplained aerial phenomena.

I tend to look at all this as Project Blue Book Redux. Bigger and flashier for the 21st century, but I guess we'll all eventually see won't we?

The fact that Special Rules apply to Special Use Areas serves to confirm what I have been saying about all this - areas off the west coast, specifically San Clemente Island have traditionally been the place they keep and test a lot of Secret Shit - much of it for naval applications. I wouldn't doubt the east coast has some counterpart(s). There won't be any public discourse about UFOs seen in those places - AOIMSG is there to ensure that.

I've noted how the media wants to portray a 'missile gap' regarding Chinese and Russian hypersonic missiles, much of it inflamed by the comments made by the vice-chairman of the JCS. Then we see the appearance of Dark Eagle, whipped up out of thin air in the last two years or less. ‘Dark Eagle’ has landed: US Army finishes equipping first unit with hypersonic capability — minus the missiles

Almost seems like it wasn't that big a deal to them to produce this thing. Most platforms take far longer than that - you can't possibly tell me US Intelligence was unaware of competitors developments.

I think we really do have next generation tech operable that we test in those SUAs and maybe let out of the barn occasionally.
