Lockheed Martin Patents Nuclear Fusion-Powered Fighter Jet

Why this is notable, is the European ITER went from $5 billion and full power operation in 2016 to $22 billion and full power operation in 2027 (the project won't complete its experiments until 2040).

Just to note: the ITER project has slipped more more than one year for each year of it existence.

So a producing tokamak fusion reactor is about 50 years away. A producing Tokamac fusion reactor has been "50 years away" since 1975.

These guys (L-M) are talking about a working prototype next year.

A fighter jet... Who needs more war ?

And how can Lockheed Martin patent fusion.. Its like patenting electricity.

Just wrong..

You know Nivek, L M employs some of the brightest minds around to develop some of the worst ever things around.

If their CEO one day told them:

1. Develop comercial turn-key fusion power grid-tied stations.
2. Develop cheap desalination plants.
3. Develop waste processing systems.
4. Develop a new user safe Facebook platform.

They would prob do so,, easily...

So is their CEO a real pos ?

Wow. I'm debating this issue on Poland's subreddit, they are going forward with Nuclear Power Plants to be operational around 2030 costing some 75billion euros. I am saying they should wait for nuclear fusion, as it's making progress (at least L M seems to have a lock on it), and UKs efforts are saying within 10 years now. (not 50).

So we are getting closer it appears. I argue we are too close, but they think Poland can't wait longer and needs to move forward with, the nuclear plants can be stop-gaps and in addition they are invested in the EU's fusion development teams efforts.

LM will patent and lock it down for jet fighter planes and not release for public use though right?

Did they buy it from someone using the DoD money or developed on their own?

It will be used by the president of the United States,, no one else will gain anything from it.

Well, probably it will leak to their Enemies, China and USSR pretty fast.

Few years ahead you can buy your own mini version on Alibaba.com

Just to clarify:

Lockheed Martin has filed a patent for a compact fusion source and claim they will have a working prototype in 2019.

Large scale fusion (tokamak) is a loser as its overruns and delays make abundantly clear. It is a physics experiment and materials research disguised as fusion power source development.

Nobody is remotely close to Lock-Mart in producing a prototype, assuming L-M does field a prototype next year.

Which makes you wonder - is this already powering some black projects? Or is this to replace the fission reactors in black projects?

The prototype is supposed to produce enough power for 80,000 homes.

That sized reactor is about substation level power output.

Now now,, .... Are you telling us there are fission reactors flying overhead in your skies ?
I'm suspious that the TR-3B - if indeed it does exist - might use a LFTR reactor as a power source. The Oakridge LFTR reactor was intended as an aviation power source.

Lockheed's fusion reactor is about as powerful as an aircraft carrier reactor.

Well then. I've just changed my mind based upon your information.

Replacing TR-3B's LFTR to fusion reactors will actually be a very environmentally friendly move on their part..

Less polution to deal with should they ever do a less than perfect landing ...

UFO Proof assesses this flying triangle as likely man-made TR-3B, but he's not sure. There is in his estimation definitely a triangular craft - ET or human made - flying. He's had other similar video captures of his own, so this isn't a one time thing, hoax or imagination.

I agree they are both human aircraft......I've seen ones like the second "sighting" all the time coming from my local international airport.

Really, a perfectly triangular 3 lights on corners craft? Wow interesting. I live next to an international airport so if you're driving towards it, planes look like saucers. But this was overhead.

The second sighting on your video was a fuzzy white spot.

I was specifically referencing the triangular craft. I didn't even watch the rest, irrelevant to discussion.

You just going to ignore the triangular craft footage by talking about the fuzzy white spot? Nice try.

Looking overhead is not the same as looking at planes coming in from a distance either. Nice try.

I watched the entire thing......sorry my bad for assuming you had as well.....

Nope not ignoring the first part.....I commented on both. In the future if you don't want both events commented on don't post videos with more than one sighting.

I didn't think I had to tell you I knew the first one was from below.....but I commented on that as well.

So,,
@CasualBystander

Lets say L M actually presents a working (patented ) fusion reactor in the near future..

I can tell you they've struck gold. No need to manufacture any sorts of mil.defence systems or weapons any more.
They could spend the rest of their patentened days producing and selling fusion reactors to the rest of the world.

They might have to find a new name for their business thoo.. L M dont ring particulary good overseas..

Perhaps,, Martin Lockheed Green Fusion - MLGF Inc. Would work..
