I'm leaning towards shinto with some added indian hindu elements

That's cool.

It should help when viewing some Japanese anime.

I'm not that up to speed on Hindu religion but better than most people. I read some of the tracts from A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, that is where I picked up the word "purport" from. Among other things he did some english translation of the Vedic literature.

Im not sure but if i have not mistaken shinto is a belief not a religion i think.

I don't like this guy :D, his the founder International Society for Krishna Consciousness. They are a society for those who are a fan of Krishna and who want to be like Krishna. They dont eat onion, garlic and etc, its not something Krishna himself told to do, they just created it themsleves.

i like the part he did the english translation tho.

Look up Miko.

If you have shrines and stuff that you visit - it is a religion.

And besides I included unitarians which is just a social club.

Much japanese anime and hentai has roots in the Shinto religion. Re: "Spirited Away"

Yeah I was peripherally aware of some of the issues with the Swami and the tracts were mostly focused on Krishna;s birth and early years on the planet.

Just out of curiosity: is blue used in hindu paintings to indicate someone has taken on a godlike aspect?

I'm not sure why, i think so.
There are also green incolour deities not just blue.

Or maybe each colour have their symbolic meaning. For example blue represents the characteristics of the deities possess, such as bravery and determination.

And green is symbolic of the happiness, peace and harmony.

Seems to be true anyway. The other disturbing thing is Krishna wears makeup, paints his fingernails, and looks like a girl.

Honestly im alittle confused about the Japs culture. What i know so far is that Shinto is mainly influenced by hindu, they have deities that are of Hindu origins.

Suitengū (Tokyo) - Wikipedia

Im not sure but i think they only have only taken the supernatural beliefs part. Im not sure about the teaching part that for example could be found in the bhagavad gita in hindus or the bible in christian, thats why i think it more towards beliefs rather than religion.
