Maury Island UFO case?

Is it safe to say that this entire case is a fraud/hoax? What evidence is there for the case - pros & cons? I know of the case & roughly what happened, but in no way am I an authority on it. Thanks

I'd say based on what I've seen its a misidentification.......the supposed "melted" material was found to be volcanic material.

Do you know anything else, like what was being misidentified? I always figured it was a hoax but like I said, I'm no authority on the case.

I can't recall the name of the ufo show that covered it.....did they mention any shows in wiki?

hoax, one of the individuals involved in the case has a very bizarre and colorfull story, i think his name was ted crisman or something like that
