Miley Cyrus recalls UFO encounter: 'It could have been the weed'

I don't know... I've never been a big pot smoker. I only do it once every blue moon and even then it's only a small hit or two. Even if the pot she smoked the night of her encounter was laced with something it would have been a pretty spectacular hallucination.

It doesn't mention when that happened to her. It may have been a drone before people knew what they were?

No, I have never hallucinated from smoking cannabis and I have smoked some very powerful stuff in my day.

She may have seen something. Maybe the weed enhanced the experience.
But with her I am not sure what she saw if anything.

Hi Sheltie, I saw this the other day and thought it reminded me of all the other times famous pop and movie stars had their sightings dismissed because of the rampant drug culture in their scene of celebrity. .. And yes sure there might be a case for doubting the veracity of certain individuals that claim to have witnessed an extraordinary sight [such as UFO] for instance.. I would never be able to truly believe that one of my old heroes Marc Bolan if he came out and said that he had just had an encounter... because through various interviews that he gave during his lifetime and having read several biographies on him, I understand that not only was Marc a fantastically talented performer, musician and writer , but he was also a world class fantasiser with a penchant for disappearing for days on end and later claiming that he had spent the time with 'real witches or Merlin [the magician] or some other equally believable tale like this! ... [truth is... he was probably completely zonked-out and couldn't.. or didn't want to remember what he had done] :p ... Nor 'the king himself.. Elvis whom was fuzzled-enough all the time to allow that shyster Larry Geller convince him that he was being sent telepathic messages from ETs and even had him convinced that he was a 'cloud buster' .
...However, there are quite a few of these 'celebrity witnesses' that I do give credence to. Both Mick Jagger and John Lennon spring to mind... just plain and simple UFO sightings without any extra sensational claims, ... the same goes for the king of guitars Jimi Hendrix ... though the sighting he had while young had a lifelong change of always doodling the UFO that he'd seen through the back window along with his brother when they were young boys. ... And talking about being affected by a sighting, what about Reg Presley, Shaun Ryder and Robbie Williams , all successful performers that were so much moved by their sightings that they started a second career as ufologists on the back of them. ... All pretty believable witnesses when you see or hear them speak about the events that made them change the way that they look upon the universe and it's workings... but none of them strangers to the odd drug or three!
Of course there are loads of more examples of both type of witness credibility-likelihoods ... but that would just blog up the thread, ... and so i'll just say that the Miley Cyrus testimony seems to be about 50/50 to me personally mate. .. inasmuch as I have a sneaky feeling that this might just be one of those cases where she and her friend actually saw an unidentified craft, but then embellished the rest of the account for the sake of publicity? ...

    Cheers Buddy.

I don't believe this is by chance; these devices maintain a level of contact (all we are ready for), and one of the tactics, apart from isolating individuals and groups on roads, is to show themselves to celebrities, or those individuals with many connections to others, Strategy: maintain a level of contact. Tactics: as described. Also showing world militaries they are powerless.

I don't think the encounter rate is any higher per capita among celebrities than the general population.

Of course Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan also reported seeing unidentified objects in the sky although their sightings were more tame in nature. They merely saw bright balls of light; no strangely shaped craft or waving aliens.

I wasn't sure if it was more than the average --and that is worth looking into if it can be ascertained. Just a theory I have. Some celebrity experiences have been pretty weird; a couple of celebrities have been chased --Guillermo del Toro among them. The Lennon sighting was pretty surgical and apparently without other witnesses except for Pang and himself. And David Duchovny's experience on the beach. And then Adrian Hicks' experience, though he is not a celebrity.
    These books look interesting, though:

Massive LOL. .. Where the heck did you find this Nivek.? ... I just spent some time on her site and it has cheered me up no end! ... What with the horrible weather, the annual dog torturing season upon us [bonfire/fireworks night, that has recently stretched to about a fortnight] and the impending national covid-lockdown, I was in need of a little light-relief and Diane Beatty's "Bolan Beatty Boogie" gives you that in spades mate. ... The funniest was when she Channelled Marc interviewing no-other than 'Jesus' himself!
... Surely no-one can take any of this shallow drivel seriously?.
By the way my friend, I suppose that I shouldn't really be surprised that you weren't familiar with Marc Bolan, as I think he only had the one bit of success over there in the states, .. [Get it On 1972] ... you see, Marc was an absolute superstar over here and in Europe in the early 70's , in fact from just about the breakup of the Beatles to the mid seventies he and his alter-ego T.Rex was the bee's knees this side of the pond! he invented glam'rock ... with tons of great stuff until he died in in a freak car accident in 1977 really. ... as you can no doubt see... I grew up listening to his brilliance and still do now...i'm a big fan! ... if you're interested at all, ... all of his stuff is on YT, give it a go, i'm sure that you'll get hooked!
...it is hard for a lifelong fan to choose just one, but here's a sample of the great man's work...
... 50 years old and still brilliant eh! ... but he really was nuttier than a squirrel's turd in real life though! :D

    Cheers Buddy.

I loved T.Rex's, Get it On. I must admit though. I thought that was the name of the entire band, not just one person. lol

Hi there Michael, hope you're well my friend. ... that's a great old hit that you've highlighted ... just one of dozens impo.
... and of course you are quite right to pull me up on the T.Rex thing being a band and not just Marc Bolan. But in my defence [lol] I always refer to Marc as T.Rex because ... well , he was. ... He did all of the writing Lyrics and music and the singing ..plus the arrangements and got all of the gigs. ... the others who were all only really session-men only contributed as a backing band.[and were frequently interchangeable] ... And so, just like I always refer to Robert Smith as 'The Cure' , I have a habit of calling Marc Bolan , T. Rex. ... which is wrong of course, but that's just me. lol

    Cheers Michael.

I wasn't "pulling you up" on the T.Rex being a band and not just Marc. I believed you. lol Back then, there was nowhere to find info on Bands or songs unless you purchased the album. Even then they rarely had the lyric's listed on them. Just the song title list and whatever photo went on the album cover.

Guessing and making up our own lyrics was half the fun. :D Remember this guy?

I laughed so hard I peed a little.

Thanks for the video Michael, I don't watch the show so haven't seen him before. Made me smile, but can he really base a career on that act? lol. Having said that... it's funny that i'm pretty similar with lyrics... there are tons of old songs that I start singing with great gusto and then tone down into a 'la,la,la' because I either forgot or just never did know the proper words and often make my own up to fit the music. :p.

    Cheers Michael.

You may already know this? ... but I only just found out that 'Bill Shatner's' old story that he had been witness to a UFO/Alien encounter when coming off his motorbike in the Mojave desert.... was in fact a pure hoax, made up for "just the hell of it" ...

... was never really sure if there was something real to the story, or not? [Shatner is the original Captain alright!... but you would have to agree that he's also a pretty unconventional hero. lol]... and now I know. ;)
...And to be honest... I'm not really sure if his right hand man Leonard Nimoy [aka... brilliant Spock] was in fact a 'true proponent of the ETH' ... although the newspaper article [below] would seem to confirm that... he was!...

... but my suspicions about Leonard's 'true motivation' for this declaration for advocacy was very much more to do with being publicity-inspired for his up-coming stint as presenter on the long-running TV-UFO-documentary-series "In Search Of..." which originally ran for six years and was presented by him [seriously] for 145 episodes. ... But I include him on this thread because of his obvious association with William Shatner, and also as an excuse to post the great picture of him with J Allen Hynek. :p

Another celebrity that is 'alleged' to have had dealings with extraterrestrials , both in a 'flying saucer' and ongoing encounters with alien greys in the privacy of her own bedroom since the age of 12 in 1961 is punk-rock star Helen Wheels ... [IMG]
...and I have to confess that before today I had never heard of the lady or her 'alleged' AA case. .. but is recently being touted as being a genuine case by Richard Dolan [among others on social media] , and having read this article from 2014 in which she tells the tale, ... Helen Wheels and the UFOs | The Alien Daily News ... and also listened to Dolan's show ... ... I have to say that as always, "I could be wrong" but this is one of those that just doesn't ring true to me personally. ... what do you think?

    Cheers.

I may have missed it, I was trying to find out when (what year) she began telling people of these alien encounters...That could somewhat indicate if she's trying to cash in on her tell or not...It would be a very early grey alien encounter like Dolan mentions, but the way she talks leaves an impression (at least with me) that she's trying to sell her story in a subtle way instead of just telling it...

Hi Nivek, As I said earlier... I lean heavily toward the 'not impressed' side of this claim. ... and in the interest of fairness , and not wanting to be missing out on the possibilities of this thing being genuine ... I have given it a little thought since I posted it yesterday. ... And I know that there are folk out there that would think it a little strange that someone that claims to be a fervent believer in the ETH , but yet have rarely really come across 'a convincing AA-case' [well,.. among the sensational claims anyway.] .... but for me personally, though I do not tend to rule out 'any possibilities of these claims being genuine' there are plenty of personal red flags to look out for in my discernment process. ... And one of them is the question that you [rightly] posed. ... Indeed in the link Helen says that ....

... so, 13 years = 1974 . [Red Flag no.1] .. a couple of months earlier Oct 11 1973 was the date of the most famous case of the 'great 1973 ufo flap' , and that was of course the universally renowned Pascagoula Abduction ... I know that it was a matter of some months before that particular case hit the headlines at it's peak.
.. which also covers [Red Flag no.2] ... The ongoing contact with their friendly and hostile 'cosmic-kidnappers'. ... Of course i've no proof that this is 'bunkum', but for the life of me I can't square this unfathomable puzzle as why the aliens would need to do this? ... is it because the abductees are an ongoing experiment? ... is the motive to alter these local inhabitants physiology .. slowly? ... as 'some' would have us believe in order to transfer humans to a otherwise hostile environment? ... or are humans so attractive to alien grays that they can't resist the urge to procreate with us? [a la Elizabeth klarer] .. And that leads me to [Red Flag no.3] ... and a lot of people are not going to like this... which is the 'heavy-link' to Bud Hopkins! ... As it is a fact that her elder brother with whom she allegedly shared this remarkable abduction event with is no other than Peter Collins ... a seasoned 'UFO Investigative Writer' ... Home (peterrobbinsny.com) with reams of books and UFO articles that can be easily found online [as well as global ufological symposium appearances] .. and is on record as being a driving force behind 'Budd Hopkins’ Intruders Foundation' ... and as you may have already guessed... 'only recalled the abduction under hypnosis by Bud in 1975' ... and then 'persuaded' sister Helen to undergo the same procedure several years later! ... Suffice to say that I am of the firm opinion that there is no place for Bud Hopkins kind of suggestive-hypnotic-regression in serious ufological-research. [sorry, but Bud's and John E Mack's track records speaks for themselves imo]
... Also, it might just be the product of my cynicism toward this type of 'celebrity revelation', but isn't it just a tiny bit suspicious that this story breaks just at the same time that 'Calvin Parker' is in the throes of making a big killing by cashing in on a re-sensationalising of the old Pascagoula episode with his well publicised imminently upcoming book and film. [it's been pushed relentlessly by himself and UFO-whore Philip Mantle on social media for months now] ? ... and also wouldn't the publicity of Peter and Helen's "revelation" be something of a godsend toward hyping Peter's upcoming latest book which is to make claims that " the military actually established contact with the occupant of a UFO that landed on the outskirt of two NATO bases." ... Yep!... more additional fantasies that are serially added to the [previously perfectly acceptable , before the many unconscionable $-cash-ins] 1980 Rendlesham Forest UFO case.? ;)

Yes it would mate... but I imagine that if as I suspect this story is 'just showbiz' and has little basis in reality, then I would think that the perpetrator of this 'story' might be of a mind that predating the Betty and Barney Hill case, might yield a few more column inches for the sake of being first!

    Cheers Buddy.

I don't think any alien stories sound completely acceptable...
They seem to be as unique as the individuals who tell them...
    BUT,
I like Miley's story in that she admits it could be a hallucination.... but if other people saw it, eh.... who knows?

I am convinced by my own experiences that this stuff happens to people.
What it is? I can't say for sure... I don't do drugs or fast,, or anything... I don't think I am mentally screwed up... Stuff just happens...

There are some things we don't even want to find credibility with in our own experiences, so how can these stories even begin to SOUND credible?
