Actually you can see movement on the surface of the moon and the flag falling when Apollo 11 lifted off from the moon.

They did a full scale run through in April 1969 of the actual moon landing.

And the set where they did the run through pretty much looks as described.

Of course they would do a full scale run through under conditions that were as close at they could get.

Actually going through all the steps is the only way to make sure that the astronauts and the equipment worked as expected and probably eliminated a few problems.

That's correct, it is astonishing to me that anyone would think the moon landings were faked and also there have been many flybys of Apollo landing sites confirming those sites on the moon, not in a studio...

Ever been to the National Air and Space Museum? Sounds like an afternoon tour there might help clear a few things up

I recently gazed upon the Apollo 13 command module. It was a powerful experience.

That amazing relic is behind glass at the Cosmosphere, in Hutchinson, Kansas. Nearby is an actual Sputnik, a backup made at the same time as the first two, if memory serves. Apparently, everything is for sale in Russia. Anyway, that's one of the best museums I've been to, and I've been to a lot of them. There is an amazing amount of space hardware on display all over the country. The Cosmosphere has a V-1 and a V-2, an SR-71 hangs in the lobby (you can reach up and touch it) and an engine from an X-15. What a great place to spend an afternoon!

I've been the both of the Smithsonian air and space museums. Pretty impressive.

What is interesting is Apollo 11 was almost trapped on the moon.

On reentering the LEM after an excursion Armstrong broke off the ignition switch with his backpack.

They had to use a ball point pen to take off (they couldn't trigger the switch by hand).

Moon landing: NASA deleted evidence of aliens in Apollo 11 mission - shock claim

NASA deleted evidence of aliens from the 1969 Moon landing, and astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong knew of the extraterrestrials activity, according to conspiracy theorists.

As NASA marks 50 years since the first people stepped foot on the Moon on July 20, 1969, some are claiming there is more than meets the eye. Conspiracy theorists first began claiming that NASA knew of aliens on the Moon when the space agency supposedly deleted 40 rolls of film from the Apollo 11 mission. The claim has credit as it was made by Bob Dean, a United States Army Command Sergeant Major, who also served at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) of NATO.

Mr Dean said: “Ladies and gentlemen, my government, NASA, which many of us in the United States say stands for Never A Straight Answer, proceeded to erase 40 rolls of film of the Apollo Program — the flight to the Moon, the flight around the Moon, the landings on the Moon, the walking guys here and there.

“They erased, for Christ’s sake, 40 rolls of film of those events.”

How does one go about erasing film?

This is, of course, not news. "According to conspiracy theorists" like Bob Dean, he of the long career in the dishwashing corps, or whatever it was.

    Yawn.

Well... the bigger problem is you can't have it both ways.

You can't accuse the US of faking the moon landings, then accuse them of destroying evidence of Aliens they took during their trip.

It isn't likely they tripped over Aliens on a sound stage.
