Metanoia
This is Mississippi bluesman R.L. Burnside (1926-2005) with his own song, "Death Bell Blues" from the 1997 release, "Acoustic Stories" which was recorded in 1988. Burnside grew up in Northern Mississippi hill country with Fred McDowell as a neighbor. He farmed til the mid '80's and started his musical career as a late bloomer in the 90's. His blues harp backup on this album is from John Neremberg.
