New Skinwalker Ranch Documentary by Jeremy Corbell

I have always been fascinated by the Skinwalker Ranch case (AKA Sherman Ranch) in Utah. This is an area that seems to be a geographical confluence of mixed paranormal activity - including UFOs, strange creatures, poltergeist activity, cattle mutilation etc.

There are many such areas throughout the world but what makes this place especially fascinating is that Robert Bigelow's NIDS organisation and its further incarnations (as well as the US government) have been carrying out extensive scientific research at the location since the 1990s.

Jeremy Corbell has a new documentary out on the subject which features footage and previously unreleased information. Apparently George Knapp who wrote the original book "Hunt for the Skinwalker" in collaboration with NIDS had been working on a documentary around the same time but this was shelved at the request of Bigelow.

This information will now be included in the documentary which will be released on September 11th 2018. It will be available on a number of streaming sites including Itunes. You can pre-order it here.

There is also an interview with both Knapp and Corbell about the documentary on this week's Mysterious Universe Podcast which you can get here:

Man, the Skinwalker Ranch. Probably 10 years ago and more I found the whole thing very intriguing. It seemed really spooky and potentially promising for actually documenting something anomalous, and maybe even learning something. Now it just seems like one of our collective favorite ghost stories. I don't know. I am planning to listen to the Radio Misterioso interview with Knapp / Corbell, maybe that will motivate me to want to see this doc.

I guess I just feel sort of disappointed in the whole thing. Seems like it had promise but nothing has come out of it other than mystique.

Knapp and Corbell are making the rounds. They are on the latest episode of Black Vault Radio. It was interesting. I will probably watch the film.

I managed to listen to the Radio Misterioso interview over the course of the day. The Corbell dude's enthusiasm was a bit much for me at times but, others may feel differently. I'm intrigued enough to want to see the film, but not really expecting to get much new out of it. Fooled me twice, probably. :)

I've not heard of it. Where is it?

It's supposedly on the same level as the Skinwalker Ranch but instead of having private guards chasing you off apparently the Feds can make life for you pretty difficult if you get too nosy.

I believe it's near Sedona, which I suppose is kind of telling.

I believe it's near Sedona, which I suppose is kind of telling.

Would also be perfect cover (if the government was doing legit research) because everyone would just assume anything to do with Sedona is just new age nonsense.

I missed the interview. not to sound ignorant but what so special about this place.

It's one of these areas that supposed to have a confluence of all types of paranormal activity. You can probably pick up the "Hunt for the Skinwalker" book really cheap if you are interested.

The big problem is (as with many cases) that you just have to trust people on their word for what happened.

There is little to no useful physical evidence -beyond animal mutilations and that is a just another mystery on top of the actual mystery - for all we know that component may actually be the government trying to research what is going on covertly.

Personally I think what happens in these kind of places is representative of some kind of perception altering technology which is why there is so little direct physical evidence of 99% of the activity. Whoever or whatever is behind it seems to be able to directly manipulate people's minds and so alter their reality and not just individually - it seems to be able to induce collective (shared) hallucinatory experiences.

That's also why these places are of such interest to governments and corporations. The ability to do such things would have massive defensive (and offensive) implications.

It is very much in keeping with what Cold War research was attempting to do but never really succeeded in doing.

The Skinwalker film was reviewed by Jason Colavito (a true skeptic.) He does say that no scientific evidence is presented in the film. You only get the testimony of Knapp and Corbell and their take on things.

The one galling thing is that Knapp comes across as knowing inside information, but he is not at liberty to discuss it. Knapp calls himself a reporter seeking the truth. Evidently he has been in the employ of Robert Bigelow who keeps his cards close to the vest. I won’t be wasting my time or money on this.

Yes, that's the U.S. price.
What's £6.99 in U.S. dollars?

It's about 9 dollars these days because the pound is so weak. Used to be nearly 2 dollars to a pound but those days are long gone. The weird thing is that things are almost always more expensive here even after conversion. This is one of the few times that I've found something cheaper.

Evidently the new owner of the Skinwalker Ranch is looking to cash in on his investment or he never would have allowed access to the ranch or let Corbell make his movie.
