This is what 'collapsing under the weight of your own bullshit' looks like

We all ready for another Trump-Clinton steel cage match ? I'm not. Villas Las Estrellas is looking like an appropriate place to sit this one out:

Nancy Pelosi's son Paul was involved in FIVE companies probed by the feds as shocking paper trail connects him to a slew of fraudsters and convicted criminals

A shocking paper trail shows Nancy Pelosi's son, Paul Pelosi Jr.'s connections to a host of fraudsters, rule-breakers and convicted criminals. A DailyMail.com investigation can reveal that Paul, 52, was involved in five companies probed by federal agencies. He was on the board of a biofuel company that defrauded investors, according to an SEC ruling, and whose CEO was convicted after bribing Georgia officials. Paul founded an environmental investment firm that turned out to be a front for two convicted fraudsters, documents reveal. He served as vice president of a company embroiled in an investigation of scam calls that targeted senior citizens. A medical company Pelosi Jr. worked for tested drugs on people without FDA authorization, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Looters steal Amazon and UPS packages from trains waiting outside downtown LA sorting depot and strew debris along tracks

Video footage captured thousands of empty and damages packages lined around the tracks of a Los Angeles railway in the midst of cargo looting crimes. Thieves have been targeting cargo containers traveling in trains in LA and stealing valuable goods from companies such as Amazon and UPS (Pictured bottom right: Police officer approaches people fleeing the area, while above, man is seen walking among strewn packages with a red sack). As a result, they have left empty boxes scattered along the tracks as well as leaving behind dispensable products such as unused COVID tests (pictured inset) and epi pens. Union Pacific have since begun cracking down on security measures in an attempt to decrease the cargo looting trend.

General Electric permanently suspends Joe Biden's COVID vaccine or testing mandate for its 174,000 workers a day after the Supreme Court ruled it an unconstitutional 'imposition' on Americans
    • The company has previously encouraged its 174,000 employees to get the jab, according to a spokesperson and will still do so
    • GE had announced in October an intention to begin a vaccination mandate in an attempt to comply with the federal regulations
    • It suspended the mandate temporarily on December 16 after a lower court ordered a stay, and has now axed it permanently
    • President Biden urged businesses to bring in vaccine mandates on their own and pushed states to 'do the right thing' after the Supreme Court decision Thursday
    • The Supreme Court voted 6-3 Thursday to block Biden's sweeping rules on private companies in a crushing blow to his pandemic response

Will we need armed guards on these trains to prevent theft? It feels like the Old West.

Here's something that confuses me. I've been under the impression that the courts have said that Congress can legally impose such requirements. So why is the administration not passing it over to them instead of beating a dead horse? What am I missing? For that matter, why is Congress even waiting for Biden if it believes the mandates are necessary? It's strange.

Land of the free? Liberty has dwindled for most Americans over past 20 years because federal government has encroached on freedoms previously decided by individual states
    • The Cato Institute has published their annual ranking of the most and least free states
    • The analysis showed that the least free states were - as in previous years - New York, Hawaii and California
    • The freest states were New Hampshire, Florida and Nevada, with the rankings again remaining unchanged, year on year
    • States were then ranked by their freedom in 23 categories including education, health insurance, economic freedom, marriage, marijuana and guns
    • William Ruger and Jason Sorens, the authors, conclude that 'for the average American, freedom has declined generally'
    • They find Americans to be less free 'because of federal policy that includes encroachment on policies that states controlled 20 years ago'

If Nancy Pelosi and her husband were involved in insider trading, why would the son be worried about fraud?

'If anyone tries to enter this building ... everyone will die': Officials negotiating with man who is holding hostages at a Texas synagogue and demanding his sister - terrorist known as 'Lady Al Qaeda' - be freed from prison

A man claiming to be the brother of a convicted terrorist stormed a Texas synagogue on the Sabbath and is holding hostages, telling a SWAT team, 'If anyone tries to enter this building, I’m telling you… everyone will die.' The unknown assailant took the hostages at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville during religious services around 11.30am, which were being live-streamed. The live-stream cut off shortly before 2pm local time. Before the livestream cut off, the unknown assailant can be heard saying, 'I'm going to die. Don't cry about me' 'Are you listening? I am going to die,' he repeated over and over. The suspect claims his sister is Aafia Siddiqui, who was convicted in New York for trying to kill US military personnel and is serving an 86-year sentence.

Us citizens better stomp on federal policy right quick before the whole country ends up like the movie The Hunger Games.

She (his sister) is probably being used as somebodies scapegoat.

Have you seen what they can do if they want something bad enough?

    All the hostages survived...

Incredible moment two hostages ESCAPE 'terrorist with British accent' at Texas synagogue moments before SWAT team storms building, killing him and freeing remaining prisoner

FBI special agent Matt Desarno said they will be working with Metropolitan police on the case. The suspect appeared to have a British accent when he spoke during the synagogue's livestream. Four hostages taken by the man who stormed the building 'armed with backpacks of explosives' have been released after the man was shot dead. He held the hostages, including Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker, trapped inside the Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, for about 10 hours before the hostages were reported free and safe. Dramatic footage revealed the moment two hostages ran out of the temple. The suspect can be seen popping out of the door as he chases after them with a gun, but he quickly retreats back inside, closing the door after spotting the nearby SWAT team. The suspect had demanded the release of convicted terrorist Aafia Siddiqu (inset) - known as Lady Al Qaeda - who, police say, he referred to as his 'sister.'

Railroads do have their own security personnel with full police powers. However they spend most of their time intercepting people who walk the rails and railfans taking photos. I rather doubt they would try to forcefully repel a mob, probably just try to take photos of the perps and charge the damages to insurance.

Tonga goes under: Death toll is unclear on ash-choked Pacific island after 7.4-magnitude earthquake and tsunami destroy Polynesian kingdom and take out internet. Waves reach US West coast, Chile, New Zealand and Australia

An undersea volcano that erupted (pictured) in Tonga, triggering a 7.4 magnitude earthquake, was so large it was visible from space and sent tsunami waves crashing into the coast of the Pacific island, and left it covered in ash and cut off from aid. In the US, waves of up to 4.1 feet were recorded in Port San Luis on Saturday, and tsunami-effect waves were recorded along the coast in California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and Alaska . Satellite images showed the spectacular eruption from space and despite the dire warnings, spectators flocked to the beaches to view the surging tsunami waves, while surfers threw caution to the wind to catch the powerful waves generated by the surge. Tsunami-hit Tonga remained largely uncontactable on Sunday with telephone and internet links severed, leaving relatives in faraway New Zealand praying for their families on the Pacific islands as casualty reports had yet to come through. The massive ash cloud covering the tiny island nation of Tonga is preventing surveillance flights from New Zealand to assess the extent of damage.
