The problem is people are just fricken delusional in DC. They want to replace dictators. That sure has worked out well. Can't think of any dictator we replaced that didn't create problems - perhaps someone knows of one. As far as "legitimizing win" - Trump is going to aim for win-win situations. He wants North Korea pulled into the 21st century. And Kim turned over 3 people captured by North Korea that Obama was letting rot. Both were taking first steps to a more normal relationship. For no reason the Korean war lasted 70 years. Trump wants to end it. It is going to take some tough negotiation. We need North Korea completely disnuclearized - otherwise Japan and and possibly South Korea will go nuclear at some point to protect themselves. But isolating North Korea hasn't worked for 30 years - and after almost 70 years of rule the Kims are pretty legitimate. I expect the talks will take place before the end of summer some time.
