New Evidence Suggests North Korea has a Naval Marine Mammal Program

Evidence is emerging that the North Korean regime is training dolphins for military purposes, according to new satellite imagery.

While the U.S. Navy pioneered the training of dolphins and other marine mammals for naval purposes and has a program based in San Diego, it’s not a capability most navies can afford. To date, only the Russian Navy, with bases in the Arctic and Black Sea, has followed suit.

Based on image intelligence, North Korea’s program dates back at least to October 2015. Their first appearance was at the site of a major naval display in Nampo, a naval base and port city on the west coast. The program is likely part of the widespread modernization of the navy that has taken place under North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The animal pens were spotted in satellite imagery in the brown waters between a shipyard and a coal loading pier. This location may still be in use intermittently, possibly for training with the naval units based nearby. But the main activity moved to a site further up the river on the edge of town. This base, possibly where the dolphins are bred, began its development in October 2016.

The U.S. Navy and Russian Navy programs provide a good frame of reference. In America, dolphins and sea lions have been trained. Russia uses Beluga whales, dolphins and seals. The U.S. Navy has deployed them in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf. More recently, Russia may have deployed them to the war in Syria. The Beluga whale that turned up in Norway was likely part of the Russian Navy program. What it was doing off the Norwegian coast is open to discussion.

Comparisons to the marine mammal pens used by the U.S. Navy and Russian Navy suggest that the North Korean pens are sized for dolphins.

Don't guess I should be surprised..But the scary part is that this type of program involving dolphins could extend Kim's reach way beyond what it is now...Bears watching by those in high places...He could use dolphins much like the Japanese used Kamikaze pilots in WW2..

Sounds cruel I know but Kim will take out his own family so a dolphins life won't mean shit to him.

Kim Jong-un orders man is executed by firing squad in front of his family for illegally selling South Korean films and music

Kim Jong-un reportedly ordered for North Korean man to be shot by firing squad for illegally selling films and music, while his family were forced to watch his execution.

The father, whose surname was Lee, was arrested in Wonsan, Gangwon province, before allegedly being executed 40 days later in front of a crowd of 500 people.

Lee, who was a chief engineer at the Wonsan Farming Management Commission, was accused by authorities of 'anti-socialist acts' for trading the South Korean videos, a source told Daily NK.

The publication claimed that Lee was caught by the daughter of his 'people's unit' leader, or neighbourhood watch group, while secretly selling the films and music.

Lee was executed just 40 days after he was arrested while his wife, son and daughter were forced to stand in the front row and watch his final moments.

They continued: 'The family's neighbours burst into tears when they saw the four security guards picking up Lee's collapsed wife and throwing her [into the van] like a piece of luggage, but they had to clamp their mouths shut and weep in silence for fear of being caught in the criminal act of having compassion for a reactionary.'

Lee reportedly confessed to selling the CDs and USBs, and authorities are said to be hunting down people who bought the content from him, believed to have been sold for between five and 12 dollars.

There are a further 20 other people who are in the process of being prosecuted after being accused of selling South Korean music and films, the publication reported.

The source added: 'Nowadays, if you are caught watching a South Korean video, you receive a sentence of either life in prison or death, so nobody knows who will be executed next.

In Tibet in China there use to be a ceremony called a Tibetan Sky Burial where they threw their dead to vultures (Grifon)...Then they ground the remains and threw them to anything else that was hanging around! This has nothing to do with N Korea but it does go to show there are stranger ways to be disposed of...

"President Trump told a crowd of supporters in West Virginia on Saturday night that he and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un “fell in love” after overcoming early hostilities. “He wrote me beautiful letters and they’re great letters. We fell in love,” he said, joking........"

North Korea’s Kim Jong-un and Kim Jong-il used fake Brazilian passports to visit western countries

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and his late father Kim Jong-il used fraudulently obtained Brazilian passports to apply for visas to visit Western countries in the 1990s, five senior Western European security sources have revealed.

While North Korea’s ruling family is known to have used travel documents obtained under false pretences, there are few specific examples. The photocopies of the Brazilian passports seen by the Reuters news agency have not been published before.

“They used these Brazilian passports, which clearly show the photographs of Kim Jong Un and Kim Jong Il, to attempt to obtain visas from foreign embassies,” one senior Western security source said on condition of anonymity. “This shows the desire for travel and points to the ruling family’s attempts to build a possible escape route,” the security source said.

The North Korean embassy in Brazil declined to comment.

Brazil’s foreign ministry said it was investigating.

A Brazilian source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the two passports in question were legitimate documents when sent out as blanks for consulates to issue.

Four other senior Western European security sources confirmed that the two Brazilian passports with photos of the Kims in the names of Josef Pwag and Ijong Tchoi were used to apply for visas in at least two Western countries. It was unclear whether any visas were issued.

The passports may also have been used to travel to Brazil, Japan and Hong Kong, the security sources said.

Yeah, nowadays you can kiss goodbye to fake passports. Everything is electronic and it goes on a database. When you present a passport on a border crossing it is automatically checked against databases, so any fakes would be caught on a spot.

That's why all the intelligence agencies have huge problems getting fake passports, because they depend on them for their operations.

"The only ICBM used by the United States, the Minuteman 3, was produced in 1970 with 1960's technology. These missiles are launched with software contained on the old, large, 8-inch floppy discs. North Korea's missiles and nuclear warheads are designed with state of the art materials and computer components."

"Look. It's the Kwangmyongsong 3.2 satellite. What a strange configuration of solar panels."

"This is in a polar orbit that brings it over the United States twice a day. So is the other one. It's probably a coincidence that it is at the perfect altitude for an EMP covering the continental US, 300 miles."

Just few days ago I watching this complementary video about EMP pulses. One or two EMP pulses above stratosphere and all civilian electricity infrastructure in North America is damaged beyond repair. So, yes, in reality a little North Korea can easily paralyse both US and Canada.

I'm obviously no expert, but I've heard that certain entities, including some banks, deliberately employ archaic programs and tech elements, because they are unhackable. Also, intuitively, I would expect very old code to have been thoroughly cleaned and mastered, while enormously complex newer code to actually be far more buggy. Consider the current, though quite harmless, issue with the forum styles. Old, endlessly tested code is not going to exhibit surprises.

It is, however, a serious issue that civilian infrastructure in the US is rarely hardened against EMP attack, but I do expect essential military infrastructure is.

That's a serious concern of mine and one of the many reasons I've been moderately prepping for an emergency...If a major part of the US gets attacked by EMP, the country and most people simply are not prepared...The electrical grid is not prepared for failure due to EMP weapons, there will be mass chaos and civil collapse and martial law...It will likely be a very bad situation...

An EMP catasrophe could even result from natural causes. The last time it happened though, there just wasn't that much electrical machinery around. Have you hear of the Carrington Event?

I remember that Pentagon had done an EMP study and they concluded that within 30 days of EMP attack 80% of civilians in US will be dead. Not from radiation, but from disruption to distribution chains. Once electrical grid goes its back to stone age.

I'm pretty sure one can still find that study on YouTube.

On other hand, I can't believe that US army can't stop North Korean ballistic missile. Ballistic missiles have predictable trajectories and they are plain vanilla to shoot down.

IMO, the only way North Korea would launch a nuclear attack against the US would be if we first launched a highly destructive attack against them, or they could launch from outside their territory, perhaps through a third party, and were very, very confident the attack couldn't be linked to them.

Yeah, I don't agree with that.

One has to understand the internal dynamics of that regime. If the ruling North Korean dynasty was pushed against the wall, they would launch nukes on US, full stop. Although, that scenario is hard to conceive. N.K. dynasty is not responsible to anybody, neither to its own people, nor to China.

US will never attack N.K. because they are too small and they don't matter. Elephant in the room is obviously China, China doesn't want US on its border ( same as Russia ) and China will rather fight US in N.K. then on its own soil.
