Still none the wiser.

A Thomas short ?

I know he was a big fan.

Good and bad in all of us Ron so don't hide away your side, air it and take the weight off.

The black community is getting sick of hearing white privs stick up for them as I think I would too. I actually know it is honesty they seek over gesture. Nothing starts without it, some ask for reparations but the bulk just want acknowledgment the bias exists all be it unconscious.

I'm an unconscious racist for sure and am honest about it which doesn't mean I dislike others, I just prefer my own and that is natural.

Does my nut....Minorities want the acknowledgement of oppression which is obvious and those who are angered then deny they have an ounce of it in them and just pay lip service.

BLM would have run a far better course without white privs getting amongst it in complete ignorance that they too are part of the problem. If I were a black guy and at a rally with a load of white emo sobbing for me I would die laughing like Frank Bruno.

Agreed, venting is a useful thing when applied, sad he felt the need to also spit on some of his peers in contempt whilst venting it out...

unconscious racist
There are so many people in this world who are, no matter their race and skin colour, black, brown, white, green or purple all have their share and parts to play in this regards...In the past I've heard some black folk say it's impossible for black people to be racist and that is one of the most ignorant statements I've heard anyone say...Hate or contempt of others can manifest through all forms and conditions and through all colours and races of men, same goes with racism of all levels...

Absolutely so nivek and the world would be a better place if we all knew where we stood, instead of muddying the water by denying a suffering of a condition that seems to be a natural condition.

I don't know but to me something isn't being given the chance it needs because of dignity or pride or sheer vanity. To admit is actually what they want to hear as It would be what I would expect first, anything else would seem hollow.

I also agree nivek, to feel the need to leave a nasty taste is something my father told me never to do and a better person leaves as they enter. It is a theme I have noticed lately and just like Trump letting himself down I find it a tad deflating.

Star belly Sneetches, Plain Belly Sneetches and a con man cleaning up. Seems somehow perfectly apt for the current environment.

One small consolation I take from this is that I work with a bunch of - to me - kids maybe 18-21 years old. The vast majority of them don't seemed to be burdened by all this nonsense we're talking about.

Changing another street name or removing a symbol might feel good right now but it's relative value to the problem will pass like a fart in the wind

I just looked at a virtual tour of the house. You gotta have a few clams in your pockets for that one.

Good actor and a great star. ... been a fan of his since I first noticed him in the early seventies film 'Across 110th Street' with Anthony Quinn... and then he went on to that great roll of 'Parker' making a great kind of double act with Harry Dean Stanton's 'Brett' in one of the all time best films 'Alien' 1979 ... which for me at least ,..certainly cast him in stone as one of the greats.

Cheers.

I am really sorry to hear about this. The Prince and the Queen have alot of respect and admiration on this side of the pond. I always thought they were the very symbol of goodwill for the U.K., my ancestral homeland.
