She was only 64 years old. This is crazy the way all these young people are dropping like flies. w29

I don't know if I mentioned this before or not. I was sitting in the medicenter office waiting to see a doctor when I noticed that this young man wanted a signed doctor's note stating that he was not sick with Corona Virus so that he could get a bed at a homeless shelter.

The receptionist said that he had to pay $35 cash up front to get one of these notes. He sheepishly said okay and then turned to walk away. It instantly made me angry. I stood up positioned myself to the middle of the room and said very loudly, "He just told you he was homeless and needed a note stating he was not sick with the virus before the shelter will give him a bed. Where is he suppose to get $35 to pay for the doctors autograph? We do not pay for healthcare in Canada so, all he really would be paying for is the doctors signature which in this case pretty much adds up to an autograph fee." He stopped dead in his tracks, turned around and said, "Yeah, how am I suppose to come up with $35?" It just so happened that the doctor was walking through the room at that moment. He got the letter for free.

The reason I mentioned the above is because I know for a fact that you must be fully vaccinated before they will let you sleep in a homeless shelter and they do not allow for any type of medical exemption here in Canada and our vaccinations are covered under healthcare.

The reason I mention the above is because...

Some are saying he died from an overdose of fentanyl, but his cause of death has not yet been determined.

He was taken way too young. RIP Austin :sad8:

Much more at the link.

Jesus - what, if you're not vaccinated just go DIE somewhere for lack of shelter in that hellish cold you live in? Good God.
We're letting millions swarm across our border without the basic inoculations we all agree to get in grade school for Christ's sake.

We got far too Woke but Canada got an truly evil dose of that ****. You guys need a good flushing out.

You want us to invade again? Don't know if it'll help but we do have a history of completely pointless invasions.

About allowing the uninoculated swarm across.

Agreed. Just wanted to make sure I didn't teak you inadvertently :)

....so here's you geeky history test about invading Canada. Guess what unlikely figure was instrumental in that debacle? HINT: he was also the first true captain of the USS Enterprize

Okay, I actually searched but haven't been able to find out. Who was it?

This Day in History: Benedict Arnold & the first USS Enterprise

The Colonial Navy | The Sailing Ship Enterprise

Shooting from the hip, from memory. Somewhere I saw pictures of the original Enterprize having been located and is in the process of restoration. With that spelling. Can't find them right now but I'm not imagining it.

The other is I think Arnold broke his leg (again) or suffered some other health problem that prevented him from going all the way north with the failed invasion. He was more instrumental at Saratoga than Gates although history does not paint him that way. Pretty sure he was the one that banged on the door at Ticonderoga and took away the heavy cannon that later wound up in the heights around Boston. Same for the Lake Champlain campaigns. Real Horatio Hornblower 'cutting out' of ships, etc. Arnold was a ship's captain first, everything else second and the Forrest Gump of the Revolution.. If he didn't fall afoul of political maneuvering we would remember him very differently.

Hollywood legend and sex symbol Raquel Welch, 82, who starred in Fantastic Voyage dies following 'brief illness'

Raquel Welch dead at 82: Actress dies after brief illness
American actress and international sex symbol Raquel Welch has died at the age of 82 following a brief illness, her manager confirmed. Welch rose to international fame from her back-to-back roles in Fantastic Voyage and One Million Years B.C. in 1966. She had minimal speaking roles in One Million Years BC, but her deerskin bikini in the film cemented her as a sex symbol. From there, Welch went on to see much success as a movie star in the 1960s and 1970s, earning a Golden Globe for her role in The Three Musketeers in 1974. By 1995, Welch was named one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History in an issue of Empire magazine, and was ranked No. 3 in Playboy's 100 Sexiest Stars of the 20th Century.

Brief illness. :dry8:

When I was growing up, all the boys and men I ever encountered were in love lust with her. She had to put up with a lot in both her personal and professional life because sexism was at it's highest back then.

RIP Ms Welch

Of course, running around in that furry bikini didn't exactly level the playing field when it came to equal rights. Watching them pull white corpuscles off her wet suit was a ...... transformative moment ..... for young PF

RIP, Raquel! From what I understand, she was fairly prudish as far as actual sex stuff went. Weren't all her Playboy spreads done partially clothed?
