PEOPLE OF EARTH, a subtle comedy about the alien abduction scenario that included a group of experiencers and their Grey, Reptilian and Nordic abductors, has been suddenly cancelled after 2 seasons (available on Amazon Prime). A 3rd season had previously been renewed, and scripts were ready when TBS inexplicably pulled the plug. My opinion: This was a good show. The humor was subtle and charming. The stories were realistic yet whimsical enough to be heartwarming in a very twisted quirky manner. The show was quite original and have very favorable reviews in 2017. But as we know, playing to the lowest common denominator seems to be the rule now in TV, so this was cancelled while banal sitcoms were renewed. Now, if the Sci-Fi channel actually cared a damn about Sci-Fi, it would pick up a gem like this. But instead they prefer Monster of the Week movies and cheesy B grade horror flicks. How many reruns of Futurama can we take? Goodbye, PEOPLE OF EARTH. You tried.
