That's a long time under anesthetic. It took Pie a few days to come around after her adrenal gland which had her out quite a while, and even her knee that probably took less than 20 minutes.

I feel horrible guilt in that we are scheduling more imaging and the second leg operation. She just recovered and now we're doing it again. I was concerned she'd lose her spark after all that but no, she bounced right back and will again. In the end she'll be able to walk without pain the rest of her life that the vet says is very likely quite some time yet.

I hope the tube removal goes well, I don't want to put him under again for that...I will have to hold him well and muzzle him while the doctor removes them...The doctor said he may have to put a staple in, maybe not, we will see tomorrow...

I've been cleaning the affected area well this morning, he won't let my wife do that, he growls at her if she even tries to...Understandable, he's been with me for 13 years and has been around her for about 2 years...I'm the only person he really trusts unconditionally...

I can see when Kobi walks outside his legs are still weak, of course he's also been laying around the past 3 1/2 days too...The surgery took a lot out of him, but he's getting it back, its going to take a little time...

The vet visit went well, tubes removed with no issue...We have a follow-up visit scheduled in two weeks...We noticed a slight droop in his mouth at the back edge like beagles have lol, but not as pronounced...I asked about that, the doctor said it could be because of the swelling but also could be nerves...The mass he removed had nerves clustered around it and he did warn me there may be slight nerve damage from this surgery...At this point it is what it is, I'm grateful he made it through all of this...

He might get a tad drooly but I wouldn't worry overly about that.

Louie had a lot of teeth pulled and he now has a number of rubbery lipped looks that will just stop you in your tracks. But neither he or his brother got drooly. Dogs can do that too as the lack of teeth changes the way the lips sit, which is why I mentioned it if he has a slight droop or grin.

Maybe it'll just add character. Poor boy.

There's still some drainage from those two spots the tubes were in...I called the vet moments ago because kobi was sleeping about 30 minutes then moved and there was a small pool of blood where he was laying...The vet said its normal for more draining and will stop within a day or two...There's other times today when its just a spot of blood under him, it isn't constantly draining, but damn...

I wore two surgical drains for over a month once, one on either side of my abdomen above my hips. When he pulled them out they were over a foot long and looked like fish belly white soaker hoses. When I saw the manufacturer's logo on them and the part # or whatever it was - that's when I got nauseous. Hooooogle booogle that was a weird feeling.

I was measuring the daily output in the number of 16oz beverage cups of drainage that I threw down the toilet each day. After that I had to go in to be drained with horse syringes for another few weeks.

I know it's hard to look at but our bodies and theirs can take a lot, sometimes a really surprising amount.

Better that stuff discharge than be retained and cause problems.

Pie has almost fully recovered at this point, she's back to being full of piss & vinegar. I have tremendous guilt that we're going to break her other leg shortly. Not optional, it's either deal with it now or don't walk later.

He's doing very very well, he is back to his old self, wanting to play and run around...The surgical wound is healing nice and fairly quickly, it looks so good...It will take time for his long hair to regrow in that area but it's growing again...He looks funny with a slightly half bald neck lol...The worst is behind him, the droop has gone away too, he's recovering very well...

She's a happy girl and has all her energy back.

Too much in fact, it's putting her left rear partially torn ACL at risk. We have an appointment with the vet near the end of the month which is her 12th and final week of recovery. Lather, rinse, repeat. A surgeon will break her knee reorient it and replace that ligament if need be with 80# test line. I feel guilt but if we don't she's at risk to undo what we already did to the other one by relying on it too much. Technically we're really only at the half way point.

Later I may have to go rob a bank.................

Dog elevator. Just finished it, haven't trained girl dog in it yet but she's very clever and picks things up quickly.

I put the top panel by the stairs on hinges so I can get in there and do whatever I might need to.

I am reluctant to break that 4th wall .... just because. So, if I can find a way to make a video sans me I will.

No, I don't have a hump or a hook or speak with a forked tongue, I have all the proper number of appendages and so forth I just get Interparanoid.

As a retired MiB, not that genuinely I would admit to that even under the influence of scopolamine or Wonder Woman's lasso, one must be cautious.
