Huh. Didn't expect a thread like this here but why not?
We walk our dog 4-6 miles a day weather permitting. Like to track the distance with a pedometer app.
Gym four times a week, generally weight training. Very physically active. Have to be to stay ahead of the growing list of s*** that's wearing out.

I now understand some of the noises my grandfather made in a way I never did before .....

Used to be a distance cyclist but gave it up after 25 years or so because of one too many close calls - keep your nose out of the #@!!%$ phone when driving!

Curious what a Russian Twist is.
Ran about a mile last night with the dog just to tire her out (nearly impossible) and my reward was having to jump out of bed howling leg cramps. As I remember from cycling water and a boatload of bananas helps with that

So today I did my plan, but the warmup felt so good I finished a mile in 9:59
Instead of just doing my planned easy 1/2 Mile warmup.

So today I did my plan, but instead of 2 x each set, I felt like doing 3 x on each set.

So now I am where I wanted to be, especially on pull-ups which I did 3 x 5 regular pull-ups, and 1 x 5 pull-up /Side to side shoulder presses at the top of the pull-up... So. Yeah... I CAN FINALLY DO THE WORKOUT which intended to work towards when I started going to the gym again February of 2017... I couldn’t believe how out of shape I was.. I could not do two even consecutive pull-ups when I started.

1 year and 7 months it took, but now I can do what I did 20 years ago... my idea of a real training routine.

Sorry if I sound Braggy... But at 52 being able to do what I did when I was 32... is just sooo cool.

I rode my bike for 20+ minutes in the highest gear I could tolerate, then did a bit more than 100 pushups (max of 49 in one set). Also, some 40 lb dumbbell curls. Not much, I know, but I almost old enough to collect social security, and very heavy.

Walked about three miles with the dog, ate half a pizza and swilled beer in front of the TV. Gotta do that once in a while ....

Ugh, This thread. I think it must be said how effective it is every morning seeing this thread glaring at me asking if I've done my exercises yet.

Damn, Coffee first. lol

I’m partying today... A four year old’s party, but usually there is beer and bbq for the grown ups.

I did enough of those to wear a callous on my assbone literally. But I think that's how I managed to pinch a nerve in my back. Easy to get careless.

I switched over (mostly) to a something that I thought was a roman chair but am not sure what to call it. You prop yourself up on your elbows and let your legs just hang. Pull your legs up straight for a set and then turn to one side to do left/right obliques in sets. Easy to just turn around and do dips after that on the same handles.

The incline bench hits the stomach muscles up high near the rib cage, these hit much lower and make the spine feel good. I still use the incline bench but knocked it down a couple of pegs and try to take it easy. Sometimes I'll do elbow-knee crossovers.
