As Above So Below
It's been said there's a being that visits our galaxy from another dimension, this being needs a husk, a body to inhabit to interact in our dimension. It also has the ability to put pieces of itself, its consciousness, unto other beings like humans and monitor them, collect information and retrieve it's 'pieces' at a later time. If the host carrying one of these 'pieces' were weakminded it can influence and direct the host to do its bidding while the host thinks he or she is in control and not even aware this piece of alien consciousness was inside.
