If this is the “new” fighter jet, we can only wonder what is on the design table.

The gist of the podcast was that there are new modeling concepts that go beyond engineering and into production so they can tell the downstream effects of design changes more readily. Interesting.

There are 5 individual technologies they are after that weren't named - although directed energy weapons and stealth were mentioned. This is a functional full scale proof of concept flying prototype of one of those 5.

Also, rather than one monolithic program like an F-35 that will do everything and define what we use for decades, they are talking about using a suite of comparatively inexpensive dedicated devices (manned and unmanned) with short life cycles.

I was reading about this stuff in the '70s. The technology is just catching up to the concepts from then. Yes, they have a lot of weird stuff stashed away. Some of it flies. Cool.

The one issue I always wondered about when it comes to advanced military weapons.... how do you prevent these weapons from falling into the enemies hands on the battlefield. You have all that money spent on technology only to have an advanced jet shot down and be recovered by some foe.

I was a Popular Science and Popular Mechanics geeky kid and pretty clearly remember an article comparing the (then) current thoughts on bombers. Rather than Slim Pickins slipping through the defenses to nuke the Soviets or even the updated version of that with the B1 Lancers doing about the same thing at TV antenna level, the article spoke about a 'suite' of semi-autonomous aircraft of which only some were manned. Not a new idea.

When that was written it was science fiction - but then a lot of the commonplace stuff we take for granted today would look that way too. I still remember the conceptual art - no idea what year or which mag. Up until a few years ago I still had it.

Regardless of what ET might be up to, the American taxpayers have made sure there are some really weird things zipping around the skies.

Like the tail rotor off that hush-hush-helicopter in Abbottabad that didn't quite get destroyed, or some advanced drone the Iranians managed to down and capture. Or even your A6M zero that your enemy might reverse engineer. https://www.navalaviationmuseum.org...ed-zero-fighters-yielded-intelligence-allies/
Absolutely - you use it you risk the chance of losing it.

If I needed a nice safe place to test, oh maybe one of the five capabilities they are looking at and have apparently already produced flying prototypes of some kind, an aircraft carrier on a training exercise would do the trick.

This is a very interesting podcast with guest Brian Muraresku whom I never heard of before but has done some great research into psychedelics used in the Greek mysteries and ancient religions...He explains many things in great detail concerning the Greek mysteries and different additives they used to spike wine they used for their ancient rituals...The way he communicates helped me sit through the 2 1/2 hour show and kept me very interested...I may purchase the audiobook version of his book since he said he used his voice on the recorded audio...Here's the podcast link and link to his book...

I just had a bit more of that on and again, I need to go through it again. Elizondo sounds good, I have no doubt he's got some interesting background. Believable for what he says, but it's thin. More rah-rah, flattery and 'can't talk about that' than anything else. Says the NYT article outed him - he wasn't expecting it and that various factions within DoD are working against him.

Something just doesn't ring quite right about him. To be fair I don't know who would at this stage. I'd like to ask him point blank about the Nimitz videos being available prior to 2017 and why he was involved in an organization as f****d up as TTSA. He did say something that really got my attention that may offer explanation - he's not old enough for retirement and has to watch his $$. Something near and dear to my heart. Sounded genuine and could explain some of his motivation.

He could also be exactly what he says - some sort of shadowy whistleblower with good intentions bent upon DoD disclosure. The unicorn we've been waiting for.

Tim Beckley and Tim Swartz on 'Exploring The Bizarre' usually have some really interesting guests.

There's some good discussion in this one about Robert Taylor's close encounter back in 1979 - apparently other disc and oval shaped UFOs were witnessed in the weeks leading up to the incident (all in a 5 mile radius of Dechmont woods) and his dog refused to leave the house for months after the incident.

One of our most unusual shows. Only UFO case to receive official investigation by authorities. Hosts Tim Beckley and Tim Swartz speak live from Scotland with guest MALCOLM ROBINSON who discusses the bizarre case of Scottish forestry worker Bob Taylor. On November 9, 1979, Taylor and his dog had a close encounter with a landed, spiked, UFO that left the man unconscious and injured. The police recorded the incident as a criminal assault, making it the only UFO sighting in the UK that has been the subject to a criminal investigation. Robinson also relates some alternative explanations on what may have happened to Taylor, including the theory that the man actually suffered from hallucinations after eating poisoned berries!. Robinson For more information obtain Robinson's new book "The Dechmont Woods UFO Incident.
