Had this one on when I was mowing the lawn yesterday. Damned interesting story and worth listening on it's own.

But I couldn't help think of Lue Elizondo as I heard her describe her entry into Army Counterintelligence. Motivated people with degrees and skills are sought after for this work and it's no stretch to see that he may have been an excellent operative. She was in combat but had special forces with her, she wasn't a trigger puller.

I don't suppose they let just any idiot into the presence of the detainees in Guantanamo (or wherever else). I heard or read that Elizondo's role was with an interpreter for KSM, so he was probably not the man working him with vacuum cleaner plans. Or waterboarding anybody. So he's probably 'been there and done that' in many places I would not want my pink backside to be but it doesn't make him into something he's not. His descriptions of his work are vague and heavy with implication. She just lays it all out and as I listened I couldn't help but wonder if he was just another version of her. Age, timing etc suggests so.

He had exposure to protecting 'aviation assets' and I could see someone with that background being tapped post-retirement for AAWSAP. I just can't help but suspect he's playing up his background to make him a more popular talking head. Like Nick Pope minus the bad perm.

There is one thing that grinds on me in the UFO field. There are the talking heads who put themselves out there but when a hard question comes their way they clam up. “I am not at liberty to discuss that topic.”

Why bother going on these podcasts if you can’t talk due to non-disclosure papers you signed? You and I can speculate just as well as these people.

Ep. #85 – Jay from Project Unity on the Wilson/Davis Leak - The Black Vault

I don't really follow personalities in this field but I do know JG and think he has and is doing excellent work. Congrats to him for trying to expand his show. I am still an audio only consumer but compared to most shows like these his is more down to earth.

Not familiar with Project Unity or Jay - by his own statement he's a 26 y/o in the UK with an interest. Apparently these two have twitterclashed or facesnapped at each other something over this. No clue (or interest).

What I can say is, having cruised through some excellent books about submarine espionage (that hasn't generated much interest here) is that IMO there is absolutely no way Admiral Wilson would just blabber to Eric Davis regardless of his personal feelings on the topic. In any case, this guy probably is - but just might not - be in possession of 'all the facts' despite his position. What I have been reading allowed me to sort of connect the dots as to how that all works (or worked at one time) and it also allowed me to put someone like a Dr.Davis or a Hal Puthoff or even a Lue Elizondo into proper context.

I listened to Jay and he's a young guy with a lot of passion but is arguing belief against fact and that usually doesn't end satisfactorily. At least we can say JG gave him his platform and lots of time to present. Being gracious is going out of style.

I've been a fan of The Unexplained with Howard Hughes for years. Just made a small donation. You have to do that every once in a while for people like that - they produce a lot of enjoyable free content.

To most this is duller than cow's teeth but in light of the Ukraine and the disturbing similarities I see I thought I'd post it. It's behind a paywall now. If anyone is really interested I might have it saved somewhere in a format I can share - have to dig. Did something stupid a few years ago and deleted stuff. I highly doubt anyone is - this is many hours - but it is extremely well presented and damned interesting (to me).

I sometimes check out Lon Strickler’s “Phantoms and Monsters” website. There are some good cryptid stories. Unfortunately the website is laid out poorly. It’s one big jumble of stories. Tread carefully.

Paul Bestall usually has some great guests on this podcast - Malcolm Robinson discusses the Scottish A70 UFO case at 1:02:02 on this one.

Cheers.
