Praying Mantis type Insectoid Abduction

I've heard of these beings before, the clicking sound is a dead giveaway of their race, and it is how they communicate. I'm not sure about how they conduct abductions though, it is most likely done by changing the vibrational frequency of the abductee, and then transporting them through into another plain of existence, or you could say dimension. The abductee talked about being taken down stairs while they were floating above the beings heads and taken into the living room. This is what they would've remembered, however it is very unlikely this is actually what took place. The mind filled in the unfamiliar space around him with a familiar space that makes him feel comfortable. This actually could have been the beings doing this, trying to make the boy as comfortable as possible, making him believe that he is in a familiar area, when he is really somewhere totally different. Its quite rare for real abductees to actually be able to recollect the past event, if this is real, it is really remarkable.

I would disagree with all of it:
1. Praying Mantises have 6 appendages.
2. An intelligent life form would have evolved effective manipulators.
3. Yeah the mantis was just one of the team.
Why Aren't Insects Human-Size?
4. Insects have some practical size limit. It seems to be related to oxygen levels.
I'm not aware of any insects over one pound.

If the aliens evolved on a smaller planet with lighter gravity, they might be able to support their huge bodies with their more fragile exoskeletons.

A higher concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere would make respiration possible for giant insects. There were dragonflies on earth 300 million years ago with 3' wing spans because the atmosphere at that time had a surplus of oxygen.

Many abductees claim aliens visit our world from planets where the environment is extremely different because they're not fully here (I'm not an expert on this and I really can't offer details). They claim many aliens can actually project themselves from different worlds or dimensions (?). The aliens as seen may in reality only be here 5% to 50%. Again, this is what I've read and I'm not an authority at all on this theory.

If insects did evolve to human size and intelligence (or higher), they would probably lose 2 of their appendages through evolution, in much the same way we lost our tails and claws.

"She was telepathic. I don't think that being telepathic automatically means you are intelligent."

Interesting you should say this, Michael. A lot of abductees claim humans have the potential for telepathy but that it's been capped. A lot of them have made the observation that many of the aliens don't really seem much more intelligent than us.

Huh???

Nobody in my family has claws... but about that tail thing...

The rest of it doesn't really deserve a response.

There aren't any large insects on this planet (over 2 oz) for <insert reason here>. There might have been some 2-3 times larger in the stone age. That still is pretty small.

Arachnids have gotten larger but they have book lungs.

There is a possibility that some dinosaur species might have gotten smart. But the mantis thing I'm not buying.

Because insects are so different from us it's not right to compare their intelligence with our own. Insects react to things that happen in a way that works for them. They really don't think about it they just do it. So, you could say that the praying mantis is very dumb, because it doesn't think at all. But then, it doesn't need to, which in a way is also very smart.

I've heard abduction stories where they tell of a praying mantis-esque alien among the typical "greys".. however it does seem like abduction recollections are few and far between to include them... of course that's based off of whatever the abductee remembers...

They say to listen for the clicking noises in your head that's them communicating with you telepathically.
