Thirty-five minutes until this new episode airs...

Don't mistake lack of talent for genius
By the way I noticed that on the History Channel's website that the day after the episode airs, you can watch it online, free with no commercials. I noticed that the day after the first show aired.

Haven't watched the episode yet. With foo fighetrs - I think if they were Nazi weapons we would have known about it by now. This is where 'Operation Paperclip' is invoked like a magic wand to explain secrecy and a conspiracy. If they had something they could use, they used it.

Tonight's episode is based on the controversial Sonny DesVergers Scoutmaster UFO Case, which Ruppelt judged to be a hoax. The real story is here.

why the hell are they tackling such a obscure case? wich most mainstream ufologists doesn't even know it exists?
are they running out of material, already?

Obscure though it may be, it's a genuine Blue Book case.
i know and i believe it to be a genuine CE3 case (it even seems to describe the effects of microwaves before they were really understood!)
but still a bizzare case to tackle after a few well know ones

Fratty and out of touch.
I have all of the Project Blue Book eps that have aired so far saved on my DVR. I just watched Operation Paperclip (ep 4) last night. So far, I've enjoyed the series. I read several reviews before I began watching. One of the big criticisms was that the show does not delve deeply into the technical and scientific aspects of UFO encounters and (as several people have pointed out here) things like military protocol may contain numerous inaccuracies. Avid ufologists and historians may find the plotline frustrating or unfulfilling.

The show really only talks about UFOs in a general way and focuses just as much on daily life in the early postwar years and the hysteria surrounding the newly introduced specter of possible atomic warfare. I like the fact that the show seems to be character-driven. As for the lesbian angle, so far I've only noticed a slight nuance that is open for interpretation.

As a fictional drama based loosely on historical facts, I think Project Blue Book is a winner.
