Disney's latest live action cash grab is visually appealing. it's a shot by shot copy of the original. except for some small story plots. at no time was the movie enjoyable beyond the original.
and my 4 year old daughter asked "what happened to Simba's mom?
    good question

I just watched The Bank Job on Netflix. It's a semi-historical, speculative take on the 1971 Baker Street robbery in the UK.

It has some slight relevance to current events as it depicts MI-5 going to extreme lengths to protect the reputation of a member of the royal family. According to Wikipedia, the film's producers said that they had an inside source who revealed "the truth" about what happened.

It's pretty entertaining. Besides the bank robbery, there's a side plot concerning a Jamaican black power activist, Michael X, whom I had never heard of before.

    I rate it 8.0.

My 4 year old loves Dora. so this movie seemed to be a great time for the kids.
Dora is now a teenager. And in a California high school. instead of being a fish out of water movie Dora is whisked away into a series of adventures that is a mix of Indiana Jones and Jumanji. It is a fun movie but samantha fell asleep during it and Ian branded it "kids stuff." and the twins left the theater laughing how they loved Dora. And how they did not want to lose the magic of Dora. I am almost 59 and there is still that place for Dora.

true confession time: I have angry birds on my phone. Angry birds 2 is a fun romp a cute sweet movie that even my 4 year old loved. It gently taught teamwork friendship and trust. a fun family movie that I highly recommend.
now back to killing the pigs on my phone!

I rate it a 10, its film-making at it's finest. Nothing loud and boisterous. No over-stylized cinematography, pointless set-pieces, cheesy dialogue, or over-flowing emotions. A perfect example of why some of the finest movie-making talent in Hollywood are British. And possibly the best caper movie of recent times. Had this been from Hollywood, every fine detail of the complex subtext in the story would have been blown apart. Instead, everything is under-played, the characters are superbly realistic and believable, and the script sharp as a pin. And the cast is a brilliant ensemble.

I love the 1980s-style of this year 2000 movie, and watch it every time it is pops up on TV. This one isn't meant to be taken too seriously, the car chases and shootouts are right outta anything Dirty Harry has done-but you know, John Singleton says he intended for this to be a popcorn movie and I agree he has hit the bullseye with that one. I give it a 10.

Samuel L. Jackson makes the year 2019 movie a lot better than it would have been. The script is simply boring and it is only kept alive by his great performance. If you look at the camera work, sometimes it's great, sometimes the cuts feel weird inbetween dialogues. Also Jessie Usher and Regina Hall are not really great in my opinion. But this might not be bad acting the more you watch, you will realize that it's poorly written characters. Well at least there are some cool shooting scenes and tough lines that make you enjoy the movie a bit. No popcorn for me so I give it a 7 only because of Mr. Jackson's performance.

I escorted Debbie and her Boyfriend to this. A by the numbers action movie. no heart or soul, just one setpeice after another..every Trope is hit every cliche played on.. The fact that Debbie was more interested in her boyfriend than the movie was telling. And the fact I did not interrupt the public display of affection even more so.
    1/10 save your money..

For a budget of 7 million this movie will be one of the best Horror/Thriller movies of 2019. This is more if General Zod came to earth as a baby. I was impressed with the Brandon actor, he looks like a psychopath when he needs too. I was praying we didn't get a cheesy ending they delivered. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

It was strange to see Henry Cavill as the bad tempered weathered detective. But in a good way. He did a good job. I've always loved Ben Kingsley as well, he's epic.

    7.5/10

P.S. I enjoyed, Angel Has Fallen. I didn't think I would but I did. Nick Nolte was great.

Having read some of the reviews I thought this would be a great flick but NO, NO, NO!! Just doesn't make sense how anyone would rate such an awful film above a 1 star or 2 stars even if you were being exceedingly generous. The movie progressed delivering awkward lines and scenes by the truck load. CGI was good but all completely undone by weak scripts and poor performances at every opportunity. This movie puts together all the bad clichés and has no coherence, such a shame.

I haven't seen it, but maybe kids are the intended audience.
As for me, I'm not interested in the Transformers.

I watched a great movie yesterday. It's The Accountant, starring Ben Affleck. Ben plays an unusual character, an autistic (high functioning), master accountant and former hit man. There's plenty of action, but there's substantial character development as well.

A sequel is planned. I just hope they do a good job with it.

I thought it was okay and would give it 8 out of 10. Money talks which is why WB ordered a sequel.

Not a Ben Affleck fan by any means but have to say he was really good in this.

To be fair though he played a unemotional character so I doubt it was very difficult for him.

    The Mule (2018) - IMDb

In The Mule, which came out last year, Clint Eastwood plays a down on his luck guy who must go to extremes to get his house out of foreclosure. He eventually ends up running drugs for a major Mexican cartel. Originally intending to just make one run, he becomes intoxicated with the excitement of the job and the power he obtains from the money. As an elderly caucasian (Eastwood is now nearly 90 years old, believe it or not), his low profile enables him to slip past unsuspecting DEA agents.

As an actor, Eastwood shows he's still got it in this movie. I highly recommend it.

I watched this film yesterday for the first time and I look at "Logan" as the "Alien 3" of the X-Men franchise. It basically gives a gigantic middle finger to everything that came before it. It destroys everything the movie that proceeded it ("Days of Future Past") accomplished. In "DOFP", all of mutant kind are about to be destroyed, but by the heroic actions of Logan himself, they survive. Then, according to the film "Logan", they all get killed off a few years later anyways. It has been said that one of the big themes of "Logan" was disappointment and I agree. I was very disappointed in this film.

I didn't see it, as I'm not a close follower of the X-Men. But after reading your rating, I expected to see that it had been widely panned. Instead, it has very, very high ratings from both critics and regular viewers from both IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. On top of that, it raked in huge cash...That being said, I still probably won't watch it.

Kate loves John Travolta. After this movie she is in the camp that he lost the ability to act.

The movie stars Travolta as an autistic man named Moose, whose obsession with a horror film actor (played by whatever-happened-to-him erstwhile heartthrob Devon Sawa) leads him on a downward spiral that results in his using, to quote Wikipedia, “his weaponized autism to fight crime.
    that's the movie.
insulting and course it crawls along...
5 ppl were in the theater.
and it was the cheap seats.
save your money this is garbage.
