Well...it's a Disney film based on a themepark ride so what did you expect? It's probably geared for young teens and Dwayne Johnson fans. I like Emily Blunt in most of the films she has done but Johnson isn't really an actor as much as he is a celebrity.

Yeah, I initially found them disturbing but the shock wore off after seeing them enough. They are kind of cool.

That in an of itself makes me antsy. Why is this entertainment? At least in the movies the bad guys are mostly dehumanized - mostly, too many head shots, uggh. From what I've seen games are far worse.

Kate Beckinsale stars as a woman afflicted with intermittent explosive disorder.
Action comedy with some very funny moments as deeply unpleasant characters cross her irritation line.

I think it caters to young males and relates to the level of testosterone. In movies like The Expendables they're all action stars in their 60's, 70's & 80's. It's silly because they poke fun at that fact.

Bond super villain generic bad guys were always nondescript, usually with matching jump suits, helmets or whatever. Kill all of them you want and it never really looks too bad. If you go back and look at an old episode of the A-team where they are shooting up a bazillion rounds of ammo and blowing stuff up, nobody really seems to get killed or even hurt. BTW - in the books Q took away his 'ladies gun' of a Beretta tip-up .25 and have him a PPK in .32 that 'hits like a brick.' Now a character needs a high capacity something with an endless supply of magazines and be a martial arts expert.

A recent trend has been to dehumanize the enemy to increase the violence - put them in some sort of ninja swaddling and obscure the fact they are actually people. Worked great in Star Wars, right? Identical stormtroopers with identical and apparently utterly ineffective and pointless body armor. But now we have John Wick blowing people's brains out at close range and hell, even Rambo has become even more hellishly bloody and violent than I care for. In that 2008 movie he was chopping people into incredibly graphic bloody chunks with a big Ma Deuce that even turned my stomach. Compare that to First Blood - same character but not quite the same thing.

Keanu Reeves can actually shoot. He shoots IDPA and three-gun style matches and is absolutely shit-hot doing so. When you watch him reload, cycle a slide, the way he hold the guns - that's real. For competition, but real. I used to shoot in some things like that and we had an informal league similar to it I shot in for years. You get guys that are masters of the paper game. But we sometime used to shoot mano a mano where the final target was a wee balloon bobbing around on a string. I've seen experts empty their magazines to no effect because they are great at the game but throw in an outlier and they choke.

He's been called one of the best movie critics on YouTube, I think he's been spot on for many of his reviews, there's a couple of them I didn't quite agree with...Its great that he's Scottish, I've always liked that accent lol...

He reminds me too much of my alcoholic father who used to bellow loudly, "Ask me anything! I know it all! I'm a walking encyclopedia!" He also had a thick Scottish accent.

Liked the premise, some individuals on Earth are able to remember their previous lives, split into two warring factions.
There is also an impressive budget and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the antagonist, but somehow it fails to engage.

I really enjoyed this one too. She is one of those lucky people who does not seem to age. lol

Some of the scenes where she "imagines" what she wants to do to the people that trigger her are hilarious. :D

    The Suicide Squad

For a film rated adults only, it sure was childish.

I gotta say, it left me disappointed. If it wasn't for Harley and Flag, I would have shut it off.

The quality of movies overall has dropped as if the entertainment industry forgot how to make them. o_O

Time loop movie about two people at a wedding. Funny and by taking a relationship out of sequential time, it addresses some fundamental relationship questions.

The recent version of Suicide Squad is better than its predecessor, I had a great time watching this movie. One can argue that the characters are less interesting than those in the first one but James Gunn found a way to make it work. The chemistry between Idris Elba and John Cena is fantastic. The movie is funny and gory as hell, James Gunn took advantage of the R rating. Watch it and have a great time!

The Green Knight is a well made movie with a lot of metaphor and symbolism that I very much enjoyed. There were a lot of things you could take away from this story, even if you don't understand everything but this film is not for everyone. I thought it was going to be an action packed fantasy movie, but nope, its kind of a modern take on a Arthurian world. It requires some piecing of the movie together after viewing and even though it is extremely odd, I can't help but talk about the movie and try to figure out some plot points. I love when a movie doesn't give you everything.

In the movie Stillwater Matt Damon is excellent as the widowed dad determined to prove his estranged, ungrateful and imprisoned daughter innocent. Stillwater has it's moments with splashes of much needed humour, but ultimately the film felt like it failed to achieve it's potential due to a 2 hour runtime of character development and relationship building let down massively by botched and rushed ending. What a shame.

The last film I went to watch in a cinema was '2001;a space odyssey' back in the early seventies. Rated it the best film I ever watched.

Suicide Squad is entertaining, I think its better than the previous version, more funny at times...It had a couple lame moments that lost my attention a bit but other times it had me laughing out loud...

A weasel really?? Lol I thought the shark was going to be lame but they did it right, funny how he talked similar to hulk lol...The polka-dot man was the lamest but even he made me laugh a couple times...Harley Quinn tried too hard in some scenes, other scenes she was spot on...
