Jack the Giant Slayer (2013) is a fun movie to watch, I wonder why a sequel was never made, I enjoyed this movie...

I really liked the TV series The Walking Dead. For some reason, I only ever watched each episode once. Since this is the last season, I decided to go back and watch it again from the start and then watch the final season. I am up to season 3 episode 10.

I am surprised at how much I had either missed or forgotten. For example, I didn't/don't remember the walkers having the ability to run. I always thought they were slow and clumsy but, a horde could be potentially lethal. I also remembered that they were noisy so, you could always hear them coming. I remembered wrong. :)

I finished Batman Begins about a week ago. It is notch notch, well deserving of it's reputation. I usually am bored by origin stories, but this one kept my interest, by moving around in time. I liked the overall tone of the film, as well as the discovery of the bat-cave and the design of the Batmobile. 10/10

To be honest, it was better than I thought it would be, It's a solid middle-of-the-road batman movie, Not the worst, Far from the best... Patterson however, does not play a believable Bruce Wayne. In his Wayne persona, He comes off like a man in his 30s that never outgrew his Teenage Goth phase. In his Batman persona, He makes some choices and mistakes that a believable batman simply wouldn't make. Overall, The more you know about the Batman universe. It's like a Galley of, " Ohh, So that guys playing this character" and "oh there's So and so" Solid middle-of-the-road batman. Not the worst, Far from the best. That said. The movie does cater to the smartie mc smartypants crowd, With several very intelligent Ciphers.. and if you watch carefully. There is a cipher at the very end after the credits.

Already solved it, not telling. Just letting you guys know this because if you weren't paying attention you could easily miss them.

This is Batman as he should be as he was meant to be. He is dark gritty violent. He is the dark knight detective. This is the Riddler as he is meant to be gone are the antics of Jim Carrey and Frank gorshin.
This is Catwoman as she should be dark and forbidden.
A little weak near the end but at least at long last we got the Batman movie we been waiting for.

As my 14 year old said "he kicks ass just as much as spiderman!" I agree.

I've been learning about the evolution of the legend(s) of King Arthur, and to this end I decided to watch a couple of recent movies centered on him. I just finished the 2004 film King Arthur, which has been marketed as an "historical" and "demystified" take on the character. Indeed, it is demystified in that there is no magic whatsoever depicted in the movie. And it does set Arthur in the correct historical period from whence the Arthur legend originated, namely the late 5th to early 6th century, as opposed to the high Middle Ages as he usually shown. But on the whole there is not a lot in the movie that could be considered historically accurate.

In the film, Arthur is a "Roman knight" on the verge of retirement, and the story line is devoted to battle and political intrigue. Several characters have the same names as those in the traditional Arthurian stories, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends. Although not a terrible movie, by abandoning the fantasy elements of the legend, it's just not much fun. I watched it on Hulu, but it's not there anymore. 6/10

Next up, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which should be the virtual opposite of the 2004 movie.

I finally finished King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. It isn't terrific, but definitely better than the 2004 film. I prefer an ample serving of sword and sorcery in my Arthurian viewing. 7/10

The Adam Project

I loved it. imdb gives it 6.9 I give it a 8. Thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. The acting was terrific, the story has been told before but not quite like this one. It made me feel all kinds of wonderful while watching. I recommend it for the whole family.

Watching The Dark Knight. The scene where Batman "extradites" the dude from China is really cool.

I just re-watched Salt. That's the action movie staring Angelina Jolie. I'll never understand why there was no sequel for that movie. It was just as good if not better than any of the Mission Impossible films.
