Don't know what to rate it but we both liked it

Yeah I like that movie, I've watched it twice since it came out...Excellent reveal at the end too! I give it a 9/10...

Chris was assigned to watch a original movie and the remake
He watched the 1953 war of the world's an iconic movie. Very much a product of its time
The story is good but a lot of religious overtones. We both agreed that it was an excellent movie.
10/10

We then viewed the 2005 remake with Tom Cruise. The war machine are more scary and the stakes are more focused. A decent story and an enjoyable movie. 8.5/10

Our project ended with the most recent remake. It's a horrible wrecked mess and I can't find anything good to say about it.
Chris and I were dumbfounded as this mess of a movie.
0/10
After viewing all 3 we came to the conclusion that the original movie was the best!

I have been wanting to watch this little gem of a movie, looks like the only venue is Amazon Prime for a rental fee...

We watched about half of this movie last night, its definitely a slow burner, my wife dropped out of interest but not I and I shall continue watching it tonight to finish it off...I feel once the action begins it will become very entertaining lol...

Whether it's the original book with a US sub in the Pacific or a British sub in the Baltic the premise is the same. There are slight variations between the two but basically an unoccupied warship that hasn't aged a day returns and as it turns out there was one survivor from it's loss. Good story.

Made for TV two part movie, I couldn't find a trailer but can find the whole thing easily enough. We rented it for two bucks on Amazon last night. Creepy ass movie for sure, we liked it.

This is a British adaptation of this book with a main character that is channeling a slightly pudgier Richard Burton.

The novel isn't the best but is even creepier than the movie. I'm looking at my copy right now that I've had since high school sitting on a shelf .

I heard much of this movie and sought it out. Basically a super computer assigned to make decisions in war decided that the best way to end war was . Take over the world! A second system in Russia is detected and the two quickly communicated soon enough the new super computer is calling its self world control. It's a good movie and is very predictable in its approach. A stark lesson when building an AI put In an off switch!

In Avatar 1 we got swept away by the amazing special effects and the sense of wonder the team behind the film managed to achieve. It didn't matter that we all knew what was going to happen. Humans are destroyers, John Smith falls in love with a native and switches sides because it's the right thing. Alas, the natives can't stand against humans but a deus ex (Gaia) saves them all. In Avatar 2, we have the same formula (witch cringy dialogue like having aliens say "cuz" and "bro" every 2 seconds and bad guys coming back), but in water. Humans are destroyers, native people cant's withstand them. A deus ex (Gaia) saves them all. Avatar 3 is the same, same. We even know how the riders tear apart the choppers. We have seen that scene 1000 times. It's just a collection of capture-chase sequences (hard to count how many times someone has to rescue a family member) The possible questions it hints to ask never get a follow up and we end up feeling nothing happened.

I join my husband in not enjoying Avatar; it is the same movie done to death. I'm not a fan of it. My vote is 2/10

Take a pencil, make a mark on the wall and then stare at it for 101 minutes. That will be more entertaining than this odious pile.

I'll be commenting on this movie over the weekend, its a heavy rainy period we're experiencing, the rain isn't due to let up until late Saturday night...So going to tuck into a couple movies, this being one of them...Sisu Road to Revenge looks even more off the rails than the first Sisu movie, which I enjoyed...

Well, if you're in the mood for an action-packed gory movie then Sisu: Road to Revenge is the one for you...Why just shoot a man when you can drop planes on him or blow his upper torso to bits with blood galore...Sisu is one hard son of a bitch, beat him down, blow him up, he doesn't stop coming back and doing three times worse on you lol...Sisu could probably hold his own against a Predator longer than anyone else lol...Keep 'em coming, many of the action and horror movies from those Northern countries are crazy and gory as hell...My wife and I have watched some bizarre Norwegian and Finnish movies over the past year, I'll post about some others we've seen...
