Kill the Irishman is a biographical movie about real-life gangster Danny Greene. A few details are fictionalized, but it is largely accurate. It is not glamorous, though it does depict him doing some good deeds. Whether he did them just for PR or from sincere motives, I don't know. In both the film and real life during the period covered, there were a startling number of bombings. Despite having many prominent actors in the cast, it was not a box office success. Nonetheless, I found it to be quite good. 8.5/10

It may be viewed for free at Tubi.

I know these two movies have already been mentioned.

Wrath of Man was extremely violent and I would give it a 7.6.

Nobody was really good with some fun silliness 9.2.

I watched Bone Tomahawk earlier today, its a western horror movie made in 2015...Kirk Russell plays a frontier town sheriff as one of the main characters dealing with cannibal indians...I only heard about this movie recently and thought it was pretty good, a bit gory at one point of the movie, but I'll give it a 7/10...

Dark City (1998) - 8/10

Dark City has a fantastic, well thought-out plot, the first 3/4 of this movie is engrossing and entertaining, but then sadly the last 1/4 is a let-down. In a movie where every line of dialog counts, that ending is a fatal wound that leaves the audience confused with the way everything unfolds. The start of the movie is slow but gets the momentum as the movie progresses. How the protagonist solves the mystery is so great, how he puts the pieces together is intelligent and thrilling. Dark City has an interesting philosophical premise executed very well. Outstanding visual effects, good story overall and a great cast. Worth watching!

One of my favorite movies, though I too found the last part less satisfying than the earlier parts.
For anyone who's interested, a couple of discussions about the ending.

Over the weekend we watched this movie. The events of Sept 11th happened before any of my kids were born. It's the story of heros two men caught in events so massive so beyond anything we could envision.
One powerful moment comes near the end.
Where did the buildings go?
There gone will their gone.
10/10

MirrorMask - 9/10

Mirrormask is a truely beautiful film which feels unbelievably like a dream throughout. The perfect blending of practical and cgi holds up amazingly when viewed as an indulged art piece and a dialog that is remarkably natural and clever with lot of personality and uniqueness. The score was an exciting blend that never overpowered the visuals, yet always fit the mood and scene. The acting truly brought this movie together, blending the real and the imagined without ever becoming campy or stilted. Mirrormask is a magical film, beautiful to watch, highly immersive and overtly outstanding. I recommend everyone to see this movie!

I'm in the minority. I did not like this movie. The bad guys had so many chances to win. Even at the end. Nuke em from orbit. Jake should have been killed or shipped off planet. Why was his avatar not destroyed at the first sign of disloyalty? The bad guys lost because they did not deal with Jake in a swift manner.
4/10

I never watched this movie until sometime last year and I thought it was awful...A couple friends kept nagging me to watch it, both were gushing over how great it was but I didn't see anything great nor outstanding about it when I finally watched it...I don't understand all the hype over this movie...I call it a 3/10 movie...

Looks like it is not such a minority after all. 3/10 sounds about right to me.
