On September 8, 2018, the organization known as National Capital Area Skeptics heard a talk titled "UFOs, the Air Force and the Colorado Study," presented by David J. Shea. Shea retired from the Air Force in 1988 as a colonel, having held a succession of public-relations jobs in that service. Among other things, he "wrote the December 17, 1969 news release announcing the close of Project Blue Book." The written text of his speech has become available, here.

Those interested in the history of the Condon "study" may find a few tidbits of interest, including Shea's account of an interview he conducted with Condon in 1972. Condon said that someone once asked him, “What would happen if you’d really see a flying saucer?” Condon said he replied, "I’d get out a revised edition of the study.”

Shea's presentation is also available on video here.
Shea began the verbal presentation with a tribute to Phil Klass. I didn't watch the rest of the video.

The National Capital Area Skeptics description of the event is here.
