You wouldn't have a hard time if your mother came and sat next to you in seance. Mine did.

My experience with this life and the information about my previous life is what I draw upon. Reincarnation tells me you are a part of a soul, but not the soul which is in existence elsewhere, but the soul is linked to the spirit which is you in the here and now, in the flesh alive, and which is not animated by the soul, but it is an extension of the soul. Think of yourself as a drone on an expedition of sorts giving valuable feedback to head quarters. Evidently you've departed on this mission with some pretty clear ideas about what you're objectives are. Failure will only mean a new mission. Suicide is a last resort and will only mean a reboot.

The soul communicates/amimates the flesh as a human being, which is the de~facto spirit via means best described as a Soliton's.

Soliton model in neuroscience - Wikipedia
Solitons are mechanistic waves: As waves they require no input of energy after the initial excitation.

"The illustration shows two nerve signals passing through each other completely unhindered. This confirms the theory that the signal is made up of waves in the form of a sound pulse, a soliton, which moves along the nerve membrane."

i've also indulged in seances and went to a 'seer' regarding the death of my dad and even had my tea leaves read. the things i saw, oye! what an imagination i have. i saw dracula (i swear) lurched over the water as i was canoeing by on a remote driftwood laden bay.

Who did you sit with? If this isn't your idea of a cosmic joke.

Okay. So your mother sitting next to you in a seance - was it (by your definition) an 'alternate physical reality' or another 'plane' or 'dimension'? (Your answers will help me understand what you mean when you use those words).

How did you experience her? Would you say it was objectively or subjectively?

morning gambier, brian. i am an expert canoeist and in my younger years took many parties out on canoe trips. all the grandkids are learning how to handle a canoe. the youngest actually fits quite nicely in my kayak too. mind you he not only wears a lifejacket (as do i) but a helmet as well. bit awkward for me to paddle it with the little guy sitting on the seat with me, so he takes a few knocks or two to the noggin. heh!

ya'll may have seen the tarzan movie in where they show where elephants go when they know they're going to die. through a waterfalls into the elephants graveyard. i was paddling alone and came through a narrow passage into what looked like a driftwood graveyard. seems the currents from all the lakes floated all wood into this secret bay/lagoon. some of the structures were towering. it was truly awesome. the 'dracula' on closer inspection was actually a sculpted piece of white birch leaning over the waters edge. but the colourings and the peel of the birch bark gave it a draculonian appearance. i can still visualize it today.

the seer i went to, a spiritualist well known in our neck of the countryside and not a scam artist, helped me somewhat. my dad met with unfortunate accident two days before his 97th birthday. i wanted to know what his thoughts were, if any, when he saw that tractor trailer turn on him and what he thought when he was being crushed under it's wheels. i have now resolved his passing in my totality.

    cosmic joke indeed. :biggrinn8:

No, it was my Mother covered in an ectoplasmic sheathing with her face and hands exposed. It was her voice, the communication was conversational, she had passed over from bone cancer in the 90s. I took in a Muegge seance after being very skeptical about the whole thing and getting an invitation from a still unknown third party. I knew no one and no one knew by name I was coming. She used pet names and described things that happened to me and us that only she and I knew about including my abductions.

All of this happened in this physical reality. It was undeniable, happened in front of a group of Europeans who spoke mostly in non-English. I may have been the only native English speaker there. She held my hands in hers, that was weird.

I got an email from Julia saying that an anonymous party of which they were well acquainted vouched for me. It's the only way in if the medium doesn't know you. Have to get a referral or an invitation or both.

I still haven't made up my mind on reincarnation as it is commonly understood, but I still can't shake the idea (outside of my religious beliefs) that life goes on after physical death. There is just something inside me which knows this to be true, and it is a yearning that all people have. A bit of innate knowledge that we are born with, but cannot fully comprehend.
