The same is true here in China. My maternal grandfather told my mother a very strange story before he passed away. It was probably in the 1930s or 1920s, when my great-grandmother (my grandfather's mother) died. The family invited a medium to channel her spirit. At first, the medium was possessed by the wrong spirit, seemingly that of a dead Kuomintang soldier. Later, finally, my great-grandmother possessed the medium, and the medium's facial expressions and demeanor immediately became exactly the same as my great-grandmother's when she was alive. She even knew the names of my grandfather and his other family members. This was incredible because no one had ever told the medium any specific information... Unfortunately, these strange things (including many rural people in the last century seeing small planes and little people, encountering various supernatural events, witnessing UFOs, and even third-kind encounters) have barely been heard of in recent years or the past decade. Moreover, due to the materialist education here, young people generally do not believe in these things...

Mediumship is big business here, a real money maker. At the low end hour long sessions run about $200 USD and at the high end ten times that. $50 will get you a reading at a fair and although I suppose it's possible to run across someone with genuine ability in my experience it's just entertainment. We had one at the Pine Bush, NY annual UFO Festival last year - it was in a bar and we got our reading with beer in hand. At best we might contact the spirit of Sam Adams :) (an 18th century Revolutionary who made a lot of beer and is still a popular brand here)

We were given an expensive reading as a gift with one who was (and still is) quite famous in that field and the man was a flat out cold reader, plain and simple. Predatory too in my opinion as he's making money from other people's intense grief. I'd like to think karma is real and one day he'll get his just desserts but who the hell knows. From what I've seen with some practice I guarantee you I could hang my shingle out as a medium doing what he does and would have people lapping it up and I make zero claim to any psychic ability.

I suspect the link between our lives and whatever comes after bodily death is a facet of consciousness that we can't even define much less explain and I believe that a lot of the peculiar phenomenon that fascinates us is yet another aspect of consciousness. With UFOs I've come to that conclusion after decades of waiting for the simple nuts & bolts theories to pan out which haven't yet. All that seems to be a repetitive loop and haggling over cases that are getting quite old. Waiting on any military to somehow divulge information and bring Disclosure is a fool's errand. Elizondo, Knapp, Corbell & Coulthart and others have a large following of fools. If one day I am proven wrong I'll gladly toss on some ketchup and eat those words

I wish that the unsolved mysteries related to the soul and UFOs could be unraveled one day; current human scientific development is still not advanced enough...

Not to be morbid but we'll all get our answer to a lot of those questions unless you somehow fail to drop dead.

Off topic but Robert Heinlein wrote a number of books on exactly that featuring a character called Lazarus Long. Good books if you look past some of Heinlein's personal sexual weirdness that got into a lot of what he wrote.

In the evening of summer 2007, a major unidentified flying object (UFO) incident occurred in a remote rural area of a certain district in Anhui Province. Its strangeness can be compared to the 1947 Roswell incident.

At about 19:00, the local weather was originally clear, but suddenly became abnormal. A 14-year-old girl named "Xiaoman" was doing her homework at home when she felt the tables, chairs and furniture vibrate violently, as if an earthquake was coming. She rushed out of the yard and found that a strong wind had suddenly risen, the tiles on the roof were lifted off in pieces, the ground was shaking continuously, and there were screams of swarms of rodents coming from the sewer, indicating a strong external energy interference.

Soon after, she and many villagers witnessed a huge black object掠过 (passing) across the sky. Its shape was like a flowing black wave, with no wings, no light, and no reflection of light. Its volume was larger than that of an ordinary house, and its height was equivalent to a 15-story building. It slowly fell at an inclination angle of about 80 degrees, directly targeting the fish pond at the end of the village. At the same time, someone in the crowd exclaimed that they saw a "flying person". Several witnesses confirmed that a tall humanoid creature followed closely behind. It was wearing a black tight-fitting suit, and there was a suspended semicircular metal device on its head, suspected to be a flying auxiliary device. The creature swayed in the strong wind, and its arms moved frequently, as if trying to control the falling object.

Due to the bad weather, Xiaoman failed to reach the crash site. Her father went to the scene and then returned home, looking solemn. He only revealed that unidentified plainclothes personnel quickly sealed off the area and warned the villagers not to talk about it to the outside world. A few days later, a large number of fish died in the fish pond, and dense corpses floated on the water surface. The direct relationship between the incident and the crash remains undetermined to this day.

A netizen said: "This is a real UFO I saw when I was a kid. I was probably in the 6th grade of primary school back then. To the north of our school was an orchard. My classmate and I went there to play together at noon. It was a cloudy day. Suddenly, we saw an orange cylindrical object flying towards us from a distance. At its closest point, it was only about 3 to 5 meters away from us. This thing made no sound at all, and both of us saw it clearly. We picked up stones and started throwing them at it. It dodged quickly and very nimbly. We threw stones many times but couldn't hit it. It stayed only for a short while before flying higher and away. Soon after, it started drizzling, so we went back to school.

First of all, it couldn't have been a drone, because drones didn't exist back then. It wasn't a balloon either—balloons don't have that shape, and they can't fly in a controlled and arbitrary manner."Screenshot_2025_1023_135629.png

A netizen said: "This is my personal experience from over 20 years ago. There was an extremely long and large cylindrical aircraft flying in the sky. It made absolutely no sound and had no exhaust flame. Back in those days, my hometown only had dirt roads, and it was an era when even bicycles were a luxury for many families. So this object simply couldn't have been human technology. Therefore, what do you think—are there UFOs? Are humans the only intelligent beings in the universe?

(The image was generated by AI, but the ground was a real shot. However, it's quite similar to the scene from back then.)"

A netizen claimed that he encountered a UFO in the shape of a cross with golden light when he was a child: "Let me tell you, I saw a vision in the sky, a golden cross. My memory of its left and right sides is a bit vague now, but this incident has always been in my mind. I was a bit scared back then. It was in the sky, for example, near the position of the moon, and a golden cross suddenly appeared. In my memory, it seemed that there was a pattern, like a Chinese character or something, on the left or right side of the cross. There was something above and below it, some kind of pattern. But in my memory, I still felt a bit scared. I poured my foot-washing water into the ditch at the back door and quickly closed the door. But I think I saw it for nearly a minute, or maybe dozens of seconds, because it's been almost 40 years now. It should have been in 1988 or 1989."

The interviewer asked: "I would like to ask you, do you think what you saw was an unidentified flying object, or was it really a cross appearing in the sky?"

The netizen replied: "It was a glittering pattern, just like a star in the sky, and it was particularly large. It was similar to the shape of a cross. There were patterns on its left and right sides, near the moon in the sky. I was only a teenager at that time. What time was it? It was already past 9 o'clock, and it was very dark anyway, 9 o'clock at night."

The interviewer continued to ask: "I would like to ask you, you said there were patterns on it, what kind of patterns? Or was it just a cross-like shape that suddenly appeared in the sky like that kind of star?"

The netizen responded: "Yes, but I just heard you mention something? There were patterns on the left and right. I can't remember clearly now. But the impression it gives me now is that there was a Chinese character or a symbol similar to a Chinese character on its left and right sides, like a text symbol. In the middle was a cross, appearing in the sky. I saw it for at least nearly a minute, then I felt a bit scared. I suddenly couldn't see this image anymore, so I poured the water out, pouring my foot-washing water into the ditch at the back door."

The interviewer asked again: "I would like to ask, what do you think this text symbol is trying to express? How does it make you feel?"

The netizen said: "I don't know. I think it's because I was only a teenager at that time, about twelve or thirteen years old, so the memory isn't that clear."

This should be my personal understanding (just a randomly found picture, though it doesn’t have the other patterns he mentioned on the cross).

Odd symbol to appear in a place where I assume - maybe incorrectly - you don't have a large Christian population.

I started as a sceptic towards mediumship, until I took x2 girls to a session with medium.

There was this one girl I fancied, so I took her and her best friend to visit a medium.

Long story short, medium had a lively exchange with these x2 girls, but when my turn came medium had a kind of blockage and was putting wrong foot forward again and again.

That's until medium's face light up and asked me "Do you have a friend who's musician?", to which I answered "Yes", and from then on she (the medium) went on prediction my musician's friend's future (not a past) down to small details which all came true.

That medim's prediction made me very open minded, and subsequently I've done a small number of remote viewing test, members of this forum included, and these remote viewing tests confirmed beyond reasonable doubt that there is more to this. But, I still think its undiscovered science, rather then some mystical stuff.

Netizen: My friend took this at the Siam construction site in Wuhan.

When I looked closely at it on my phone later, it disappeared.

Question: Did it vanish into thin air?

Answer: It flew away really fast.

Question: Did it fly horizontally or straight up?

Answer: Horizontally. It was so fast that it was gone in a second.

No further information...IMG_20251027_010028.png

I was talking how all these psychic stuff might just be some yet undiscovered physics, when today I stumbled on this interview about guy who actually wrote a book about his experience of communicating with aliens during his part of secret NSA program. Right at this point they talk about Extended Electro Dynamics and Scalar fields (fields proposed by Tesla).

If you watched the above video you might find this interesting.

Long story short, he was watching sinusoidal wave on an oscilloscope screen and repeating pitch of that frequency in his mind. When he finally got in a tune with that pitch after several weeks of practice sinusoidal wave would collapse and turn into noise.

But how was this done, because there was nothing in the room beside him, furniture and oscilloscope? I'm guessing that there was a Tesla coil somewhere close, maybe in the next room. Tesla coil would be a source of an oscillating scalar field in a form of sinusoidal wave. Tesla coils are very sensitive to, for example, people standing near them, because Tesla coil would capacitively couple with human body, and change it's resonant frequency. When he got "in tune" with a wave he would practically mess up the sinusoidal wave Tesla coil would go out of resonance with itself and wave would collapse.

So, if you have a Tesla coil, that can be tuned to a very low frequency, around 10 - 1,000 Hz, maybe you can try this experiment.

He actually talks about this himself, at this point in the video he says that he has ability to hear infrasounds ahead of earthquakes, as well as he's very sensitive to electrical fields, like he can feel when somebody turns on TV (presumably CRT) in the next room:

View: https://youtu.be/Rfmy5oW_r9c?t=9954

Please note that Tesla coils can mess up unprotected electronic equipment because they will induce currents in circuit boards. So do this away from any electronics.

@Dejan Corovic - just out of curiosity do you actually sit for 3.5 hours and watch that stuff? I have a hard time sitting though most movies.
I listen to it in parts. I have these Bluetooth headphones with range of about 10 m (30 ft) so I listen videos like podcasts while I'm messing about, as long as content is lightweight like this one. So far I broke up this one into x3 parts and I'm yet to listen x4th part ;-). But it saves me reading the book ;-), and there is really a lots of good info.

This one was extra interesting because it was talking about Extended EM, which is one old topic that had been circulating in alternative science for about 30-40 years. So I was definitely keen to hear everything he's going to say.

A bit like how I used to consume podcasts. I admit I've burned through a couple of 4+ hour Dan Carlins Hardcore History episodes while farting around with other things.

But I find that if I'm "farting about" and doing something else, than my focus drops drastically, so I try to latch on "keywords" and then wind it back and listen again with focus. I mostly reserve late evenings for this type of listening, because by then I'm mentally spent and practically just vegetate.

I recently lost half my hearing permanently and since then can't have anything on at all in the background like I always have as it's extremely distracting trying to process it. I have to watch a screen and use close captioning. My Bluetooth headphones are very comfortable and I just wear them as hearing protection, I don't even bother to charge them up.
