Sinkholes appear in Florida forcing eight homes to evacuated.
TWELVE sinkholes appear in Florida town forcing eight homes to be evacuated | Daily Mail Online
A dozen sinkholes have opened up in a Florida city, forcing eight homes to be evacuated and prompting fears from other residents they will be the next to leave.

The holes began appearing around a retention pond in the Wynchase neighborhood of Ocala on the night of April 25, and have carried on appearing over the last two weeks for a currently unknown reason.

'They just keep coming,' local resident Maren Pinder told WFTV. 'Are we safe? We don't know. It's really scary. We just have a bag ready in case we are told to evacuate.'

As Above So Below
In this case they'd should just put a fence around it and wait until it fills itself in.......in a city it would take some doing to fill it is.

Florida has sink hole problems frequently it seems, many times I've seen barriers around them until the location becomes stable enough to fill in...I think sometimes they wait months to make sure heavy rains or or weather doesn't cause further sinking before sending in people to fill it in...Make's sense and its safety conscious...

The hundreds of sink holes in Florida are filled in depending on their location in size......since some are over a half mile wide there is nothing that can do there.

Interesting.....does it say what caused it or was it an actual geologic sinkhole?
Yeah, there was no mention of a cause. From a conspiracy theorist view it could be an orchestrated attack on retail shoppers.

Here's a video from several years back at an IHOP restaurant and the cause was supposedly a storm drain collapse. The account was the same with witnesses saying they though it was an earthquake.

I was thinking it was more likely a storm sewer in the recent case......and not a real sinkhole.
