The eclipse was amazing to view, we had about 80% or so but it was dark enough the street lights came on lol...The dark pics I took using one of the seeing glasses and placed it over the camera lens of my phone...

we had 89% coverage here in Chicago, it was cloudy but was able to see it when some clouds broke up. It was worth it for me, you don't see that everyday when your own eyes. Six years till the next one

As I was reading some news on the event, I saw a chart showing I was in the 90% range, it was partly cloudy here but clear enough to see it without obstruction...

I had no success with pics. I was getting frustrated but there was no point i just sat there and relaxed had plenty of stored thanks to my third eye

Once it was already ending it got clear so i got a pretty good view then. It was still pretty amazing. Im going to keep my glasses to try to spot Sun Spots lol

My brother in Carbondale IL saw totality I asked if it was like night time and he said it looked more like a sunset night. He did say at the moment of totality birds and crickets were chirping

We saw the shadow bands...They were mostly along the ground. Pretty neat.

awesome, great catch!
I wish i would of saw that. It was way to cloudy for a shadow to even cast but still was able to see the eclipse after the clouds started to break up a bit.

That's a fantastic page..... I have it bookmarked on Moon Phases in my location and use it every month for the Full Moon time calculation so I know when to get ready to start howling...

The full Solar Eclipse in Australia I saw where I travelled to central inland desert country was on 2003, end of November.... not another scheduled for ages yet....

Stunning stuff all this...
