While the QAnon conspiracy theory is undoubtedly stupid and harmful to society, I suspect that the father of the children is not psychologically normal. It sounds like he is psychotic and paranoid. I don't think that one of the tenets of the QAnon theory involves serpent DNA, or that one should kill one's own children to prevent them from turning into serpents. That more closely resembles the conspiracy theories of David Icke, but even still I doubt that Icke ever implores his followers to kill their own children. I suspect that this man would have been a danger to his children and to others regardless of what conspiracy theories were circulating on social media. Psychotic individuals latch onto many different things, including religion, and popular music lyrics, to inform their paranoid delusions. If the QAnon conspiracy theory belief disappeared tomorrow, tragic events like this would still go on.
