Sitting on my back deck this evening, a nice slightly breezy low 70s and partly cloudy evening, I can see out past my back yard mowed area and lightning bugs flashing all around randomly.

Suddenly the flashes of light stop, the frogs and crickets stop making their noises, I see various shades of movement, slightly light and slightly dark and grey coloured shapes changing shapes as they moved. This movement went on for about five minutes, these things moved on and then the bugs started flashing again, and the usual forest and meadows noises began again...

My dog wanted to get off the deck and investigate the yard and meadow but I kept him on the deck with me.

Not too long ago earlier today my dog was walking around the outer mowed edges of the backyard and looked nervous, also from that point out into the meadows the grasses and wild flowers grow up to 3 ft tall, it was usually quiet...

I called my dog back to the house and took him into the house...I have the feeling coyotes were in the tall grasses around fifty yards or more from where my dog was..
